Exactly that. He's looking to galvanise the troops and remind the club where we aspire to be from the get-go.Ooh he’s coming in very flirtatious. Stop it Poch.

I think that the whole reason we opted for Poch is that he's not just hot air. He's up for the fight, has proved that on many occasions, and he expects his team to be the same. For now it’s just words but he’s coming in way more confident than Potter did for example. Potter seemed like he was in awe of the club. Poch gives off an aura of someone who’s ready to win. It’s just words though, for now. It’s easy for him to say this at the beginning. I believe in him though.
What metric is he using?
It’s the use of the present rather than the past tense that makes the statement utterly ridiculousI think he's using the metric of Chelsea having won on multiple occasions every available trophy in England and Europe in that time, aside from the Super Cup and Club World Cup which we've only won once.
I think every football fan acknowledges that in the here and now City are clearly the greatest team in England, and have been for the last few years, but prior to that it was Chelsea.

Rally the troops and get the fans onside, and all that, but he’s getting close to Big Sam levels of delusion with that nonsense
There’s your last 15 seasons
To even pretend that record makes you ‘the best team in the country’ is utterly ridiculous
