Chelsea v Napoli

I despise parisan commentary, which is all we get in this country whatever the match. I prefer the old-fashioned commentators who used to describe what was actually happening. Anyway, well done Chelsea!

What have the french got to do with it.

-- Wed Mar 14, 2012 11:49 pm --

Anyone thinking tonight, how vulnerable that Napoli defence looked, why couldn't we exploit their weaknesses?
Over both legs Chelsea had 34 shots - 19 on target, we had 42 shots - 20 on target. They played half an hour longer.

Poor finishing? And a smattering of bad luck.

Remember when Yaya hit the bar?

I think we also had another unfortunate chance.

Well well well:

Chelsea are down but not yet out it seems.

Wonder if AVB was watching? Anyway the revenue they will earn from going through to the next round should cover the cost of his sacking easily.

Amazing how when Chelsea's players get a manager sacked, they are suddenly up for the fight again. Tonight you have to admit Drogba, Terry and Lampard gave everything, especially Drogba. In a way I suppose they feel it's their club, they've had the success no matter who the manager and so why should they yield to a fresh manager when what he wants them to do is harming Chelsea FC? They might be a powerful group but I think them players show passion for their club.

Also after tonight there can be no more doubt that John Terry is all powerful at Chelsea, for good or bad. At the press conference this week RDM hardly got a word in, then in the match he's giving instructions from the bench, LOL!

Di Matteo got his tactics spot on, was this really the same Napoli we played? Although one thing about playing Chelsea foreign teams sometimes cannot get to grips with is the small pitch and the crowd being virtually on top of them. I think we should've beaten them and I'm sure our owners are wondering why we didn't?

As to the bias in commentary, Townsend is a former Chelsea player so it's only right and I think people on here are just jealous that the people commentating on our games never cheer for us in the same way!

its amazing how quickly things change in football, 2 weeks ago this was going to be a dead cert home win. now im not so confident

I'm getting paranoid with everything that has gone against City and in favour of the Rags since Christmas, it's literally everything!

Still fancy another home win though.
