Chelsea v Napoli

Al Jazeera footage? Yes I have. Impartiality? No. Because you don't see matches like Chelsea Vs *insert any Arab team here* that's why.

No it's not, do you think Lineker and Souness would suddenly support an Arab team if they played Chelsea? Al Jazeera's main news outlet has been praised for it's unbiased and sensible views on world news, many prefer it to typical American and British news outlets for that reason. The sports coverage simply follows the same principles and that's why I enjoy it, because they cover a game properly where both teams are treated fairly no matter who they are or where they are from.

It's funny seeing a pundit who would follow the script on Sky Sports give proper knowledgable analysis of football on Al Jazeera.

moaning like you are if it was Summerbee et al going mental if City took part in a game as highly entertaining as this and cheering when they score/went through.

Summerbee was embarrassing on Sky when he had his infamous rant, like I said in my original post even if they did it for City, I'd find it annoying. I love City but if I want pro-City propaganda I'll watch City TV via mcfc.co.uk.

I never watch City In Europe on TV, but i bet it isn't commentated as partisan as that one was.

I'm all for partisan; if it applies to all English clubs, suspect it doesn't.

Well done Chelsea, we'll see how CL you are next week. My condolences also to the Belgian families btw.

Just been watching the Chelsea versus Napoli game. I don't know who the referee is for our match with Chelsea but I hope he keeps an eye on the play-acting by Drogba. The number of times he hit the deck then looked for a decision from the ref was appalling, when do they get wise to him? They looked pretty fired up tonight Chelsea, just hope City are, we need those 3 points.

The commentators shouldn't be completely impartial, but should have pointed out the amount of diving fouling and cheating generally, that chelsea were doing. Their winning goal came from a free kick gained by one of Drogba's many, many dives. But they were just turning a blind eye.

Drogba hacks down a Napoli player and goes down clutching his face and gets a free kick, was just one of many ridiculous examples of bad refereeing today.

Well no, because they don't really commentate. However, if Lineker did then he may get a little more excited if Chelsea came out on top.

For gods sake, Tyldsley & Townsend were hardly going mental. They weren't screaming for Napoli cards or putting down their goal. Praised Inler for his strike. Praised them for the way they started the game. Yes they got a tad excited seeing Chelsea score & win. Probably because they have just watched a cracking game of football which was end to end and had an English qualifier.

Hardly biased beyond belief.

You are easily annoyed, no doubt. We just cannot see what the issue is and as a matter of fact tonights commentary was neither pro or anti English. The commentators seemed equally excited as each goal was scored.

I like how they just giggle at that, yet Mario would get a minimum of 3 replays and commentary about how Italian he plays.

Drogba makes my piss boil can not believe the refs fall for it time and time again it's so blatant

David Luiz never get the credit he deserve from English commentators.

Drogba played a proper strikers part tonight, him going down helped them keep hold of the ball, if it was Balotelli for us we'd be saying fantastic that.
