Children’s ages for holidays

I won’t take her out when it’s last two years as I know how vital that is but if I find out they are fucking about before summer or Xmas ill take her out to visit Vienna or krakow next Xmas time
They should limit it to say 1 week per child per year. At the end of.the day how well a child does is based on intelligence and effort while they are there.
Holidays are good for a child's mental health.

I agree or let schools/authorities chose their holidays, absenteeism would fal if kids could get away at different times would fuck over the holiday companies as well. Split the 6 weeks up have 4 but give two somewhere else, I remember Oldham wakes in June for two weeks back to school for 4 then off for another 6, drove my mum nuts.

We had a holiday two years ago which over extended the six weeks holiday by two days Derbyshire Education authority tried to fine us £180 i appealed and won as I gave them notice.
My two probably learnt more in that week than two months in school.
There’ll be an inset day into the run to Christmas trust me !!

Where the fuck did you grow up? We only ever went to see the illuminations and Rhyl.
Dad got a job in Malawi in 78 and after his contract was up after 3 years he used his bonus to take us on a mega holiday knowing full well we’d never be able to do it in the future, absolutely brilliant times, we hired a camper van drove around SA, then called in at Lisbon to see friends we knew from Malawi, then onto Disney world for two weeks. School was livid but it was 1981, dad told them to do one, zero happened.

Don’t do all inclusive they aren’t that cheap, in fact don’t stay in hotels get an apartment, and then your children only pay for what they eat in small local restaurants.

Don’t know about that. I’ve just paid about £400 each for an all inclusive in a nice Spanish hotel that we’ve been to before, in the April school holidays next year.

Flights
Transfers
Decent hotel with a mini water park
7 nights food and drink
Kids entertainment every day.

You’d do well to pay for that as you go along separately for anything like that price. Plus there’s nothing to do in an apartment.

My daughter has turned 12 and now we have to pay adult prices on holidays, how can this be allowed, for example on an all inclusive shes not allowed to drink alcohol and doesn’t eat half as much as an adult. Why has no one ever questioned this, maybe there should be an middle price for 12-18 young adults, the average holiday jumps by about £5/600 for a week all inclusive from the age 11 to 12.
I agree. They pay an adult price but get a put me up bed too!

We had a meal in our hotel recently as we couldn’t be bothered going out one night. It cost 40 euro per adult and 20 euro for children (unless you were 12 or older when it went up to 40 euro!) my daughter had some pasta and sauce and a bowl of ice cream!
