Where did I say that?!

Anyway, are you having a capo and a drum or not?

We are going to try a capo to see how it goes. As for the drum we shall see we may try it just to see how it goes.

But as it stands we are not using a drum, we are also trying a capo but not for the full game just from time to time. We are just seeing what works and what doesn't really without just stating that it won't like some have.

Also sorry for being nasty, i was just in a mood.

Well with all due respect then I hope it doesn't take off. I don't like the thought of our support becoming an poor imitation of the European ultras.
im afraid thats what the citizens will be.

...Atmosphere is created by fans reacting to the players and players reacting to the fans.

So how does that circle start?

Anyway, whether you are pro or anti Citizens, I'm sure you'll agree that the atmosphere needs "changing" at games - whether at Eastlands or Hyde (TBA seem to have away games covered)?

Please give them a chance - you never know, it may fall flat on it's arse or it may just work!

All I can say having read most of the thread it is sad we end up slanging each other off just for trying something different. Maybe we should remember some of the daft things we have done over the years which in the end created a great feeling around the ground on match day. This is now becoming a comp to see who can do the best and slang other people off for trying something else, do I want a drum at City maybe not but would I slang someone off for trying it 'NO'
Those of you who know me when I have dome the Ticker Tape, Scarves and Banner ideas I took some real shit for just trying and I am bloody 51, we have a great relationship with the club and they have helped me and others on here with ideas, Ticker Tape 3 Derbies ago, the Black & Red at Leicester FAC the Neil Young picture on 24 mins at Eastlands in the replay, the scarves, the lights out, plans in place for Real Madrid, get a grip support each other and stop all this in house fighting.

Roll on tomos 308 singing loud and proud.

We don't need a capo. The "capos" already exist, but are much more discrete than one lad stood at the front ordering the rest.

We're not short of people who want to start songs we just need the rest of the block to get stuck in. As inverse as it sounds, it's the average fan who makes the atmosphere. The song starters are always doing the same thing week in week out but the atmosphere only really takes off when enough of the average lot get involved. Everybody wants a good atmosphere but very few actually give a good crack. If everyone was as pro-active on matchdays as they seem on here then we'd have the ground rocking every week.

Walk the walk and all that...

Ok I think from now on everything has been expressed from both sides. I would like the Citizens to carry on and just see how it goes on and what happens because at the end of the day even if it fails it will be good atmosphere at EDS games, so that is one positive nobody can argue against. I think it should be stuck at to see what happens and comes of it.

As for now we should all get behind the safe standing campaign and back TBA as they are in control of away games and are doing there best for the home games.

I say just let it carry on and see what happens.

I respect both sides arguments except didsbury dave lol.

If i had one wish it would be that people would just fucking sing.

I asked earlier..why don't you get tickets together for Wigan and give it a go there?

Stop trying to paint everyone who doesn't agree with you as people who don't want anyone to sing. I'd like nothing more than the stadium rocking every week but aimless noise doesn't create atmosphere, half the time it actually kills it.

Sorry mate - wasn't aware I was.

I am struggling a bit here though. What do you mean by "aimless noise"? Do you mean someone trying to start a "song" that only lasts a few seconds because someone else started a different song a few blocks over and their attempt fails for the very same reason?

If so, I totally agree with you. This was the main impetus for starting The Citizens in the first place - to try and get everyone singing from the same hymn sheet (pun intended).

Sorry again if I caused offence.

Andy

you have a point and you speak very eruditely

it'll be the cheapest away game of the season by a mile so surprised a few of the group aren't making a bid to go and generate some atmosphere, having said that it probably sold out today? Opportunity missed for you all.
