sinister? just trying to explain that the BA are far from uninviting and uncomfortable to be with, thats all.

im suprised they still tolerate this shit because they get so much grief from a load of wankers on here.

???

I havent got any problems with BA, and it's over the top to call people 'a load of wankers' just for having a different opinion? You should see the amount of shit I've got for trying to see whether this works. Doesn't make me go on saying everyone is wanker, TBA do a lot of good work and the majority of them are good lads, but they have started something that is bound to get some negative feedback... you cant please everyone all the time.

However on here we really arent trying to have a go at them.
by a load of wankers i didnt mean you lot, i mean the usual threads started about them. ones where they get blamed for a ruck outside the ground or a firework thrown by a city fan.

i agree everyones entitled to an opinion, but being mates with them, i just cant agree that they're uninviting. thats really my only point, the wankers bit was aimed at generally anybody who start those rumours, nothing to do with you lot ...
Trouble is you came across as a bit of a self pleaser

Internet squabbles... We're all allowed to express our opinions, myself having formed opinions from my own experiences with BA... Experiences continue however and I may have some positive experiences of BA (possibly tomorrow)

Stimo - you've had some good times with BA... good stuff :)

A lad I went over to Ajax with had nothing but praise of one of BA members (Felix)

I'm not here to point fingers and say how shit BA are because if you look throughout my comments on this board over the years I've had much praise for TBA and on several occasions invited them down to our supporters club (which was ignored)

This topic is about The Citizens... Can we please keep it on-topic.
fair enough. good luck to you lot, as ive said before im skeptical but hoping you prove me wrong.

to jump on a point someone made earlier, about us having a singing section spread across the east stand. i'd wager ALOT of blues would be very up for this idea BUT the club would have to move people out of there ST seats and that would cause an absolute outrage.

ill ask this question again and again till somebody will give me an explanation.

why was the singing section moved to the corner of the east stand? why not officially have south stand as the singing section in the first place? then eventually it would have grown round the corner to the colin bell stand. that would have stopped this silly rivalry between SS and south east corner.

Before I start I am not a member of TBA and dont plan on becoming a member of the citizens so I class myself as a neutral.

How can anyone suggest all TBA do is put on coaches for games? Anybody who goes to away games on a regular basis will already be seeing the positive work that TBA are getting up to, the thing people dont realise is it takes time. Ive noticed in the past couple of months the way away atmospheres have improved x10 thanks to the Blue Alliance. As far as I am aware 90% of new songs and chants are started by them (Richard Wright at Stoke away, Javi Garcia at Fulham etc) And hopefully (with time) they will be able to affect home atmospheres in the same way.

Cut them some slack they are top lads and have done a great job

Agreed... Away atmosphere has improved alot since TBA's efforts and the only people who have made comments on here saying TBA do nothing have been posters who have no formal connections to The Citizens... My views of TBA being reminiscent of a stag doo still remain as it does remind me of this. Arrange a gang of lads, arrange the transport, go somewhere in the country, find a watering hole and get absolutely sessioned then a sing song :-D

The Citizens were formed because of the shit Home atmosphere which following discussions we decided to try and get like minded fans together and attempt this.

Let them fall flat on their cocky arses just like blue watch , blue rebels, mcfc ultras and all those other groups who started a Facebook page and thought it was a 'movement'. And none of them were deluded enough to think that city fans would adopt a song leader and a fucking drum.

There's two reasons our home atmosphere is flat: the structure of the ground and the location of the away fans. The first is permanent. Until the club has the balls to deal with the second then it will never change.

100% correct dave... Until this is sorted you can forget any of these orchestrated, choreographed glee performances....

I sit in 212 and watched the dutch fans.. They had a bald headed bloke who spent the whole game with his back to the action... he is the Capo I presume?

Who would want to go to all the expense of travel and tickets to do that... Also, they don't go to watch their team, they go to perform like seals for the likes of many on this thread. How boring and repetitive to keep hearing the same old euro shit disco songs... and the monotonous banging of a drum.

Who said that's what we are doing, presumptions are being made again. I thought that the Ajax fans were boring and stale. We will not be doing what they did.

There are 48,000 in the stadium. Really, would you be that upset, that a bunch of say 2,000 grouped together in a block and acted like the Ajax fans (ok without a drum)? And if one fan, out of the 48k, wants to stand with his back to the game and act as a capo why would you care?!

My point is our stadium can accommodate different set of fans and fuck me there's already enough fans that want to sit there and watch the game in silence. And there's still room for the older (perhaps) more traditional football fan, that won't take to this.

Give it a go Citizens, it can't hurt and jeez something needs doing because it is getting dire!

I have no idea what you are doing, neither did I say this is what you are doing. My post was in response to Dave's as he hit the nail on the head... and to the mindless sheep on this thread who thought the Ajax fans were great, or outsung us...

I questioned why anybody would be sad enough to be orchestrated, Choreographed by some fuckwit with his back to the game, who has spent so much to attend it.

A better idea is to sing and shout your bollocks off like I did in 212... I was hoarse yesterday morning.

I go to watch City, not perform like a fucking monkey; and my support is shouting and singing with those around me... I have no desire to be dictated to by a fucking lemon in sunglasses with his back to the action.

I think you may have heard from the city fans chants, how anything remotely like the Ajax clowns would be received.

Dictated to? Just where has that got into your head? Nobody is going to dictate to anyone what to do, ever. If you'd like to join in, then join in. If you'd rather not, then don't. Nobody is going to ever demand that anyone does anything at City apart from Showsec.

This isn't dictating?

The people that will be at the EDS game, before i start this song i'll seperate you in half then i'll build it up by by putting my hands in the air and going "ohhhhh" (like you see in the video) then i'll shout "Bobby Mancs" then the half to my right will reply with "blue white army" then the side to my left will do the "Bobby Mancs" part then the side to my right "blue white army" and so on. When it's your sides turn you will point to the other side as you chant either "Bobby Mancs" or "blue white army" Then after a while the drum will kick in with a beat and both sides will start bouncing to it. Then repeat it from the start.
