The problem is too much thought goes into designing these kits & end up being something that divides fans opinions. Surely that can't be good for sales.
I would just simplify them with the odd tweek here & there but keep them traditional.

I like the new home one, I get what they were trying to go for with the football stuff around Afflecks. I also really liked the Hacienda imagery they brought in last year. Puma have done a decent job if you ask me.

If it's sales then simplifying them and alway being similar can't be good. I would guess Puma and before them Nike know whats good for sales.
