It’s funny how people see things differently. I wonder if the navy socks represented a time when you first started watching City?

I’d like sky blue shirts white shorts and sky blue socks but it’s not City to me without a maroon trim here and there. Must be when I started following us.

Yeah late 80s when I first started going and we had navy socks from 1987-1993 and then while I never liked the laser blue kits we had navy socks with them from 1997-2001 (with navy in the socks until 2003).

But we’ve had around 70 years of navy socks in our history, around double the amount of time than we’ve had sky socks. Navy is by far the most common colour for City socks.

Yep. I can be carbon dated by my like of sky blue socks with maroon and white trim at the top - circa 1968
