City agree fee for Jack Rodwell

Slightly less worrying that the fee is £12,000,000 not £20,000,000.

Is 12 the rumoured number? Heard 15 this morning.

When I first heard the news my first reaction was nothing more than £10 million.

Listening to the game on the local radio station and they have just said it was £12m. I am just guessing at the other bit, but it could rise to £15,000,000 depending on performance. £12,000,000 is an ok price but still a risk.

I honestly can't believe that some of our fans are thick enough to believe that any player is brought into our club without Mancini wanting them.

Guess he went for him now as it became less "impossible" to get him. I don't understand how Marwood picking the players would work? Would Mancini play them, or is Marwood picking the team as well? It's not like Mancini has never talked about the importance of young English players is it?

£12 million wouldn't be so bad, and if it does rise to £15m then it will be because he's doing something right on the pitch.

Its good enough for me too but he isnt foreign or cost £30 million so people wont like it
