City announce deal with Wolf Blass wines

depends on the time of the day, brother, haha. or the occasion.
i leisurely drink alcohol every day, a fair bit of it, i love it,
but only decent quality stuff, otherwise it gives you a headache the next morning.
the crap that they are allowed to put in cheap booze is nothing short of the corporate poisoning of the masses.

australian wine is shipped over here in huge containers, bottled and then knocked out as quick as possible.
any wine with a screw-on top is piss and is not at all good for your liver.

wine, in my opinion, like each and every great pleasure in life, becomes better with age,
it should sit in barrels for years & then settle in the bottle for more years.

i feel lucky to live in europe, where the best red wines are made, the finest single malts are produced and the loveliest ales are pumped out daily,
so for me, wolf blass gets a big fat no.

I agree with you about the finest single malts. I'm a Highland Park man myself. Beers and lagers are also vastly superior in Europe to anywhere else. The wines are all good but some of the New World stuff isn't bad either, in my opinion, as long as you avoid some of the wines from Chile which taste like battery acid!

I do though refuse to drink anything other than proper French Champagne whenever City win a trophy. None of this Cava crap!

Cant wait for the cringe worthy advert with Vinny necking a bottle.

More a Red Label man myself. Just checked and the one in the wine rack is a Red Label (£5 from Morrison's on offer). I quite like a Shiraz. The critics all say it's shite but what's the old saying again?

"I know now't about wine but I know what I like".

Prefer a Rioja if I'm honest, Special Reserve.

Maybe they can give us all a few bottles of plonk... after that the new Shirt might start to look ok!

stating it is about as stupid as those cunts in trafford saying they have 659 million

Got the couple back now have they:)

Why does it upset you that much?
It's quite a feasible number now that we are globally known..
We have just gone and got us the best manager in the world:)

It looks like City are using the same company as United used when working out how many "fans" we have worldwide. As I understand it, the survey conducted on behalf of United simply asked people which teams they followed in the sense of which ones they might watch on TV. More than one team was allowed and any mentioning United were noted and the numbers extrapolated which meant they arrived at the magical 659 million figure.
I'd imagine it's probably not even that specific. The number in the press release is probably something like the number of people who indicated they're interested in both soccer/football and wine and then extrapolated that across the populations in those combined regions.

Well spoken
Gave up drinking wine from the other side of the world 2 yrs ago. They are full of sulphites and other preservatives to stop the wine going off in the plastic vats they are shipped over in.
Have not had a serious hangover since sticking to drinking Europe's best as a result.
Wolf Blass are very welcome to spunk their cash with City but I won't be drinking any more of their muck!
