We should appeal at 5.59 on Wednesday.

On that basis I have absolutely no expectation that his appeal will be upheld but I doubt they would extend the ban beyond four matches. So nothing to lose and everything to gain

With regards the 3 league fixtures, Everton away is being reffed by Peter Walton so it doesn't matter who's playing, that's a nailed on defeat and to be honest it's probably better if Mario misses that one anyway as Walton would have sent him off.
That leaves Fulham at home and Villa away, winnable without Mario.
Not too bad.
Plus, silver lining; he'll be fully fit and raring to go for the run in.
