City break in Europe.

Off to Berlin in December for 3 nights, mix of christmas markets and the history. Looking forward to it.

I'd recommend Oslo, Stockholm or Copenhagen. All extremely nice cities with a friendly atmosphere....just not cheap!

I didnt think much to Venice or Rome. Paris was OK, as was Barcelona and Madrid.

Anyone been to Rome recently? Got an average price for breakfast a beer etc?

Il look into bath I think as I haven't been there either, have got a mate living in Edinburgh tho so would b good to see him. Plus the fact we'd fly up might add a bit to the trip for her. Would love for it to be snowing too.

Depends where in Rome you go. I've paid anything from 2EUR for a bottle about 3-4 miles from the city centre right up to 14EURO for a large (1 litre) draught lager in a cafe just behind the Vatican.

Check the the menu and also be mindful in a lot of places, if you sit down for a beer/coffee, they charge you more.
