@matchdaybus When will you know if other routes are going to be introduced? I previously asked you whether Warrington and areas on route would be considered.
I've compiled a spreadsheet that includes all suggested stops and routes, along with feedback from supporters highlighting what’s working well and what could be improved. At the end of the season, we'll hold a meeting to review all comments and analyse route data before making any final decisions. I’ll share any updates here, and the website will also be updated to reflect any changes ahead of the new season.

@matchdaybus

A couple of points

1) I think GMPTE should think about slightly lowering the fares so that fans who currently use 2 buses to get from home to the ground will use 1 direct route instead. For example, if I lived near the A6 in Stockport, I could get the 192 into Manchester and then the 216 to the ground for £2 or I could spend £6-£8 to get the direct match bus. The direct bus is more efficient congestion and time wise but more expensive. Potentially a change in pricing and additional services could encourage people to travel more efficiently.

2) Most probably this is already on the agenda for next season but around Jan 2026 the capacity is going to go up by about 15%. Presumably that will mean more fans, more passengers and more buses?

Hello, The matchday buses are different to regular service buses as they offer a more direct route to the ground for fans. However, we do understand that pricing can be a barrier for some fans. The matchday bus service is operated and managed by Transport for Greater Manchester on behalf of Manchester City so I will pass your feedback onto them for consideration.

Regarding the stadium expansion, we will continue to closely monitor passenger data and travel patterns to ensure that services are well equipped to meet increased demand and remain efficient and reliable for all fans. Thank you for your continued support.

Any idea if the buses are leaving the ground any later with De Bruyne playing his last match at the Etihad and the events going on to honour him after the Bournemouth match ?

What time are the buses leaving tomorrow? I have to get to the station and will have to miss the send-off for Kevin de Bruyne. Other fans will probably want to leave later. Will the services be split to cover this?

The MC14 bus that I get is now leaving 45 minutes after the match ends, instead of the usual 25 minutes.
So I would guess that all the other match day buses will be the same.

The buses will be departing 45 minutes after the final whistle.

Hi, all buses will depart 45 minutes after the final whistle.

With the concert finishing at the same time I'm looking to use the bus to get home, (No. 10)
Am I correct in saying they park on the road by the Tesla Garage Ashton New Road?
Cheers

We have spoken to the MC2 driver who has broken down at Marple. He has advised he expects to be back on the move in 30 minutes. The service will run, but will run quite late. If you can make alternative arrangements, please do.

Absolutely shambolic on the MC5 post match. Left 10 minutes after everyone else had gone, then took the heavily congested Mancunian Way route which was rightly binned mid season due to inevitable delays. And then to compound the fiasco, missed the turn off for Mauldeth Road, necessitating a magical mystery tour of Withington’s back streets, briefly heading back towards town and then a U turn in the middle of Wilmslow Road. Then had to ask passengers for directions to Didsbury
A farce from beginning to end
