City & Chelsea Charged by the FA

Perhaps it is the fact that I support the team on the other side of this, that my perspective is different, but most Chelsea fans would look at the Aguero tackle and see that as the instigator. I'm sure City players would stick up for their player if they had suffered a tackle like that. And indeed, they did stuck up for their mate when Aguero was shoved to the ground.

I agree. But i would expect any City player in such a situation to get a red card for violent conduct.
It wasn't pretty all round, including Aguero's tackle, but you come across as if all Chelsea's players are saints.
Far fucking from it.

This whole 'yellow card rule' is preposterous and pure wank in equal measure.

It's fucking insane.

The yellow card is just a manipulation tool for authorities. It allows referees to not punish favourites or "important" players in big matches or from big teams, and also allows a referee to prevent players from being retrospectively punished. It basically takes difficult red cards, or incidents that require a modicum of cognitive capability to provide judgement on, out of the referee's hands.

Aguero was totally out of order and got not himself banned but probably our most important player yes if he hadn't done what he did then nothing would have happened, and if Taylor had done his job Luiz wouldn't have been on the pitch, but the instigator of the brawl was Chalobah.

But if Chalobah deserved the red for reacting to the tackle, then about 5 more players deserved a red for getting involved after. He didn't do anything others didn't do IMO.

Oh far from it mate. That wasn't my intention. Fabregas is a snide little shit who should have been sent off. Luiz is another snide player who likes to leave his foot or elbow in. And there Costa. We have our fair share of cnuts and I actually like the cnutishness (without being overly malicious and going over the line)

Luiz should have been sent off. I totally agree. Ref bottled it completely. But I don't see Chalobah as the instigator. He reacted with emotion to a very poor tackle. I was happy with the yellow in that instance.

I appreciate that my perspective here is different from all of yours and I don't want to antagonize anyone reading this by trying to defend Chelsea too vehemently, so I'll log back out very soon :)

What you say is actually a fair assessment, IMO.

And then when it suits , takes no further action anyway ! When an " independent set of 3 individuals " cannot see from a video that the melee resulted from the Chelsea player pushing Aguero ( who was correctly red carded ) then you can only come to one conclusion which is corruption.

The whole disciplinary system is corrupt , to protect certain teams , and cover for the totally inept and biased referees, such as Anthony Taylor and many others, who regularly fuck up decisions in important matches.

The FA is a total cover up based upon support for the " chosen " teams and their bloody useless referees.

Agree regarding Luiz but I believe you are totally dismissing the role that Chalobah played in that final melee. That was a red card offence - again bottled by the referee .

Everything totally kicked off from that point , whilst the Fernandinho / Febregas incident happened almost simultaneously , and should have resulted in both players being sent off .
