City & Chelsea Charged by the FA

Fabregas wasn't punished further because he was booked during the melee. I could be wrong, but so was Chalobah.

I remember Chelsea fans being very upset when Aguero didn't get any punishment for the two-footed stamp on Luiz 3 years ago and it was said then that although Aguero wasn't booked for the incident, the ref put in his report that he had seen it, which effectively tied the FA's hands, hence no further punishment. Although a less serious crime, the same applies to Fabregas and Chalobah here.

I think Fabregas could and should have gotten a red for his part in this, but other than that, I think the ref handled the fracas at the end pretty much spot on.

Strikes me that Chelsea 's bigger fine than City indicates that in private those in charge think City got a bad deal by that clown of a referee during the game and Chelsea got off lightly. That said the fact that their fine is much smaller than their last mass brawl against Spurs is bizarre. Serial offenders allowed to reoffend again and again.

The two clubs were charged for failing to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and/or refrained from provocative behaviour.

I wonder if the FArce will charge PiGMOL with the same offence. Andrew Taylor did not conduct himself in an orderly fashion and he didn't refrain from provocative behaviour.

Fabregas was booked for an aggressive attitude Taylor confirmed in his report that he didn't see the slap therefore the FA referred it to a panel who failed to reach a unanimous decision, so he wasn't punished further Chalobah was booked for the shove and so, despite Taylor only booking him, the FA weren't able to take further action. IMHO He did not handle it spot on as failed to red card Chalobah the instigator of the brawl and neither him or his arse-sistants failed to see Fabregas slap Ferdy

Oh, I didn't know this. Not sure why he wasn't punished further then.

On Chalobah, everyone was pushing and shoving. Iheanacho was going absolutely mental in the middle of it. To send Chalobah off would have been harsh, because everyone else involved would have to have been sent off.

No Chalobah. Was first on the scene to sort Aguero out. He inflamed the situation.
Nothing had happened, apart from the challenge, up until his incursion.

He came over and pushed Aguero over he raised his arms it all kicked off then Inheanacho came over to protest what Chalobah had done and the Chelsea players started man-handling him Like I said Chalobah was the instigator of the brawl and was guilty of violent conduct this is a red card Taylor did not punished him correctly but due to the stupid retrospective process the FA couldn't act

Perhaps it is the fact that I support the team on the other side of this, that my perspective is different, but most Chelsea fans would look at the Aguero tackle and see that as the instigator. I'm sure City players would stick up for their player if they had suffered a tackle like that. And indeed, they did stuck up for their mate when Aguero was shoved to the ground.
