City Fan Still In Hospital in Germany

Thanks for everybodies generousity, text messages of support ect. It made being in Germany alone over Xmas and New Year more bearable, it is much appreciated. Carl is recovering slowly but surely and everyone has high hopes for him.
I travel back on Thursday and will take the banner and pictures with me.
Once again thank you all

£500 that is amazing .well done every one .£315 was sent direct to the house in cheques as well .£1,800 with the buckets .£220 private donations £100 from Spike £100 from mancity.net £1.200 from the scousers . Every penny will be spent wisley .It will help Carls Brother to Stay in Germany & also to come back to visit his family .It willalso go towards paying Bills at Carls House plus the Family might be getting a big bill for repatriation .When Carl is well enough to travel (prob in a month or so ) it will be by ambulance & it wont be cheap

All things considered all the money donated should really go to Carls medical costs because that is going to be the major issue. I know Basia his wife has kept a permanent vigil since 30/11/08 and is now having to pay all her costs. These donations really should go directly to help fund Carls unisured medical costs because most people are under the impression it is what it's for. Fortunately Basia has an understanding employer (time Off) and to that extent so has Carl but there will come a time when the bill needs paying and that is were it gets difficult.
I think the effort and the subsequent response from Blues and friends of Carl has been excellent and hope this continues but the money really has got to go towards medical expenses.
The effort that Ian (Carls Cousin) and family friends is admirable as is the work that Mark Crump and his regulars at his boozer have done so far.
I hope nobody interprets this as a winge because it's not but I am concerned that the vast majority of funds raised go to help towards Carls' direct costs. It will be better for Carl, his family and friends that he is repatriated as soon as it is safe to do so. I'm sure the treatment he has received to date has been second to none but having lots of different faces visiting him in Walton Hospital (probably) will aide is recovery in the medium/long term but moving sooner rather than later will no doubt incur significant costs.

I certainly see this post as a Winge & i dont know on what or whose authority you are dictating what the money should be spent on .The Family will at the end of the day know better than anyone how the money should be spent .I or you are not in a position to dictate to the Family what they should do with it. They will prioitise & act acordingly .We are raising it & giving it to the Family & are not offering an opinion on what to do with it .If you want to raise some money & spend it on medical costs feel free to do so .Andrew has informed me that the E11 is covering his bills .The Family might or might not get a Bill for Repatriation .We will cross that bridge when we have to .The Medical people will decide when he is moved & Andrew thinks it wont be at least for a month .We want to contentrate on raising as much as possible & not having a petty squable about spending the Money as i said the Family will decide not you
