City fans in the Celtic end next week

Have hated being in the wrong end ever since seeing us draw 2-2 whilst in the 'united road' (think we went 2 up early doors and David Cross scored). Not sure what is worse, controlling yourself when we score, or acting happy when they do.

I was in the United Road end that day, at their "singers end", with some United mates who got me a ticket.

I remember clear as a bell after we equalised all the City fans climbing the fences, and I was looking at them from close up,feeling their joy.

did it a few times in my younger days ( only when had to ) - generally when there were going to be a fair few blues in there anyway.

One that stands out was Bradford away in 89 - last game of the season and only way I could get to see us clinch promotion. im guessing there were about 2K of blues in the home end that day, so it was safety in numbers.....

would I do it it away @ celtic ????

not a chance

Was in their Kop myself that day. Stood at the bottom left of the terrace witha big group of other blues. When we invaded the pitch a gate collapsed and loads of people went down. I saw the terror in the eyes of the people on the floor as they all though of Hillsbrough. We pulled them out and it was fine.

Me and my mate have two tickets in the Celtic end for the game at Parkhead. We're not daft enough to jump up if (when) we score and obviously not wearing colours. Just wondering if there's anymore blues in the Celtic end?
You're mental. I've been offered loads by pals up there who are all Celtic fans but turned them all down. Even with the promise I'd be looked after. Fuck that for a game of soldiers.

I was in the what is now called the Slur Alex stand for that game and when Rosler chipped Schmeichel I went up.
Big fuckin mistake,I nearly got killed, stewards and police to my rescue, didn't throw me out though.
On the stairs going into the back of the stand nearly got killed again,in the back of the stand, nearly got killed there also,on the way back to seats, nearly got killed again, how I dint get killed that day,I'll never know.
Won't be doing that again.....to the OP,you need to have a serious think. That day I told my mates I wouldn't go up if we scored, but when it happens and instinct kicks in..........

I was in the Stretford End that day, too. A Cockney bloke next to me was signing "You're the shit of Manchester" and I couldn't help myself but shout "You don't come from Manchester" in his face. He couldn't believe it. That's probably the closest I got to trouble in dozens and dozens of home end visit.

You keep your head down and it's fine. My Dad pulled a blinder once in their end when we drew 1-1 in the 90s and shoudl have won - Anelka winner was ruled out for handball. He kept shouting "This is rubbish!" and "Berkovic is runnign the show!" and "They're better than us!".

In many grounds as long as you don't take the piss those around you will tolerate you. You have to make sure you buy the most expensive tickets you can afford to ensure a decent class of neighbour.

I was in the K stand with the Neanderthals when a guy I played football with at the time saw me from a distance, and before he could stop himself shouted over "Oi you blue bast..." He stopped himself when he realized, and fortunately for me he wasn't close enough for them to know it was me...but there was literally a manhunt going on in my general direction. A few were asking him where I was. He stayed tight lipped and laughed them off. Fortunately it was after all the goals had gone in, so I didn't have to do any fake celebrations after being semi revealed. It's a good job they didn't ask me anything as my Manc accent would have been a dead giveaway.

I've been in the home end at loads of away grounds including old trafford for Derbies fifteen or so times, Stoke and Leeds. I find the edginess of being in and among their bile ridden supporters quite exhilarating if I'm being honest and unlike others I enjoy it greatly when we score, even if I can't outwardly react. It's quite intoxicating, as is seeing the crushed expressions on their little faces.

As much as I love Glasgow and its denizens, I'd hesitate before doing the same at Celtic Park. My spider senses tell me it would be too risky with much less capacity for me to talk myself out of a sticky situation, primarily because of my accent. That said, if I was offered a flight and ticket on the morning of the 28th I'd probably feel differently!

That's basically it. I'd be prepared to go in any away end in the UK apart from the two Glasgow clubs. That's after being up there on and off for three years and knowing all the right people I'd need to come out with my head still on my shoulders. Like I said, fuck that for a game of soldiers.

I had a similar experience when in the Stratford end for the game when Keith Curle scored a penalty, a lad I knew from school saw me and came over asking what the fuck was I doing in there end, one of my mates peered over him and told I was with him, haha so funny although it was going off in the corner where a load of Blues were and when Curly scored all the blues went mental. Got out alive but not great to stood watching and not cheering when we score

I'm the same, I get a real adrenaline rush. Off the top off my head, I've done OT about ten times, Anfield about 5, Highbury, Spurs, Burnley 3 or 4 times, Blackburn 5 or 6 times, Wigan, Wolves, Bradford twice, Preston, Leeds 3 times, QPR, Luton (when the ban was on), Villa and plenty more.

Worst home end i've been in was Liverpool, horrible horrible bastards. They didnt sniff me out fortunately, but a bloke with 2 young lads werent so lucky. Punches thrown, drinks thrown, spitting, the works

I've sat in the Liverpool stand on my own and had people around me chatting amiably about City. We lost 3-0 and were no threat at the time, and were in good seats.

I've sat in the same stand with 50 City on a corporate trip and we came under a hail of pies and spit after celebrating an equaliser. We were thrown out (back to the lounge) that time.

Have done this a few times but more so when it was terracing and easier to move around if reqd

Last time was final against Wigan – must have outed myself somehow as I recvd a few sharp digs when they scored

Was with my dad so could not do much in reply L
