City Fans V Bayern Fans

I know we were being bullied on the pitch tonight but the vocal support is woeful most of the time, we dont make it itimidating for the opposition, to me we're still the new boys finding our feet at this level so should be treating every champions league game like a big fa cup tie or a derby match, instead we wave the white flag to 3000 germans, when we do put a song together not everyone joins in and it sounds shit, I almost feel embarrassed singing cos you can hear your own voice as the next singer is 4 rows away.

What annoys me is I know we're capable of creating an electric atmosphere cos we do it a couple of times a season, I'm not saying lets bounce around v Norwich and Southampton but these champions league games are massive.

They're just a German Man United. Can't stand either of them.

TBH you need to give their fans some credit. They came and supported their team for 90 minutes. They weren't interested in us. The didn't give it the big one either, like PSG, Ajax, etc. And they even showed a sense of humour every now and again.

As for being the German Manchester United? Their a million times better on the pitch and on the terraces.
German man u as in its easy to support them - lots of fans aren't from Bavaria, etc., you literal get! Not saying that they're owt like them on the pitch! I wish we could replicate their volume, but it just sounded like one song for 90 minutes to me...not that we covered ourselves in glory for support...we haven't for a long time.

Don't want to get in trench warfare matey, but it certainly didn't sound like just one song. They had numerous songs.

I liked the Bayern fans. Not only did they get behind their team all game, but they did not goad the City fans. There was plenty of appreciation between the City fans in 216 and the Bayern fans as we left

Wish English fans would be more like Bayern and Dortmund.

They had at least four good ones and the coordinated swaying and stuff was impressive.

Numerous songs which all sounded the same a bit like how I'd imagine a cascada album to sound. Same song different words :)

What we all want to happen will actually never happen.

1. Would anyone here lead us for 120mins not watching the game, no.

2. Would anyone wave flags for 90mins, no.

3. Would anyone bang a drum ( not like Wigan ;) ), no.

4. Will we be allowed safe standing soon. More than likely, no.

5. Will people sing and bounce around for 120mins, not a chance.

6. Will people spend there own time and money making banners and flags for games, no.

It's good having the ideas but it'll never happen. We don't have the right culture here in England.

Exactly, the core support in Germany meet every night after work. The difference is we're all drained and ready to go home.
