think you've missed one out here noel ... a young lad who had to witness violence for no good reason
You've had 15 years to confront him about it, know one is interested the thread is moving on.

It's a fair point Allan. However, a quick bit of research shows the incident, ahem, "blueprintreader" refers to was 17 years ago, in November 1993. Moreover, I have heard all of their allegations before... when they were put to me the first time around! Certainly, the original inquisitor seemed satisfied with my version of events. This is now only the second time I've heard them in all this time. I think that tells its own tale.

No doubt about it in my mind, blueprintreader is either connected or is a put-up job. Either way they've borne a grudge for a long, long time, but I suspect the latter; given their compulsion for making defamatory statements they wouldn't have lasted long on the job, the law of libel being what it is. Sadly, they probably believe that the earth is flat, the moon is made of cheese and any other fairy story they happen to chance upon.

However, I think I can take it as read that this character is highly unlikely to take up my challenge to reveal themselves, publicly or by PM. Happily, as others have suggested, I think the net is closing in on their true identity, if it hasn't done so already.

Certainly, secret missions - as has been revealed - were part and parcel of the Fanzine Wars then and would, in all likelihood, have remained as such had I not mentioned them, so I'm not surprised to see that some are still skilled in the black arts.

I'm sure that as soon as this thread ends (should that ever happen!), I expect this character will slither back into the void of anonymity whence they came.

I, on the other hand, will take my newly-found infamy over their pitiful anonymity any time.

After all, as dear old Oscar once said: "The only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about."

You could have just posted the relevant bit.

There’s been a thread on the BlueMoon website forum regarding fanzines recently with some good mentions for KK which I thank folk for. However, having gone out of my way a few years back to allow Noel Bayley to bury the hatchet I was very, very disappointed to read his posting on this subject. I won’t be posting on the forum as it will only exacerbate that situation from all those years ago, but I will go as far to say that I would have thought by now, especially as he’s a prospective Labour councillor that the lying would stop.
Other postings made me smile with their innacuracies, but particularly the one from the unnamed 64 year old who was going to “spark me” outside the ground. I’m pleased to say he got short shrift from other posters! Who’d be a fanzine editor eh

Another 30 pages of insults and accusations of lying.

I'm off to get some popcorn and a bottle of Tizer.

Well done m27 you have hooked me and reeled me in. I read this thread about an hour ago, started to post and had the sense to walk away ....... but then I sat there thinking about it and as I say you reeled me in..... so here are my thoughts after clicking the link...........

Definitions of sanctimonious
holier-than-thou: excessively or hypocritically pious

Definitions of arrogant

having or showing feelings of unwarranted importance out of overbearing pride; "chesty as a peacock".

No mate. There's a new bit at the top:

"At night we nipped out to watch London Boulevard at Belle Vue, only Sue and I in there. Main theme music was the Yardbird’s ‘Heart Full Of Soul’ I think. I remember my good pal Noel Bayley (before his apoplectic paranoia when I rightly became ‘fan on the board’ all those years ago, when he told me he didn’t want “anyone with a vested interest” to do it, not because of the pathetic line - he couldn’t support me “as I was vague about being FOB”!) giving me his spare LP copy which I thanked him for profusely. Noel’s been saying some naughty things on the Blue Moon fanzine forum recently regarding KOTK (and others) and refers to all KOTKers as cronies. I would never call any BTH (Noel’s excellent but defunct fanzine) people that. They, like us, are all good genuine passionate Blues, Worthy, Bibby, Steve R, Josh, Mike ‘n all.
Well done to Phill, Prestwich Blue, Dante and others for standing up to him on that forum this week, by the way.

LongsightM13, thought I was a stuck up tw*t when selling KK and disregarded his opinion, cos he was young. Well, that could have been the freezing day that we’d lost in the last minute and I had toothache and my piles were killing me. I can, however, assure him, if he reads this (doubtful), that whilst my 24 year old youngest son can’t change a lightbulb or pump up his car tyres, his cooking, computer and football knowledge are far superior to my own, and I value his opinions and those of others greatly. So there!"

Haven't seen Mike or Scott in years what they up to now?

i sent mike holden a "tweet" this afternoon, he has seen this thread and is staying out of it. kind of wish i had now as well ! mike (miguel) is over in valencia. scott i see at the match now and again. he's a good blue and he has done well for himself with writing...

i have seen dave wallace's updated blog here, thanks to M27. There are some new comments on here now which means he is following this. To be fair to Noel I know that the singing the blues lads had no problems with Noel. The arguments were me and Noel, Dave and Noel, Phill and Noel and Bill/Frank and Noel.

I know that puts Noel in a bad light and we've all had our say on this but there were also problems between Singing The Blues and Blueprint and King of The Kippax and Blueprint.

Noel, I am still up for a clear the air pint, perhaps before Everton, I am tied up before then. Phill won't come but I will give it a go. I mentioned it to Marcus your brother today and he compared me and you going for a pint with Ian Paisley/Gerry Adams and Israel/PLO getting round the table !!!

Fair enough, Mr Wallace. I guess I've just tended to catch you on a bad day, or at a bad time — as I was having when I posted what was in retrospect an unduly harsh analysis of your customer relations skills. I'm man enough to apologise if any offence was caused.
I'm not so young nowadays, by the way . . .
Ps Cheer up!!!

What is all this name-calling and general slagging off of people's names ever going to achieve? It just makes everyone appear to be a bit silly. However, it makes good reading! :)

Is it ok if I join in? KOTKers are all nob jockeys!
