As far as I'm aware, Nick Harris is a freelance journalist. He doesn't report on our games, so there is little point in banning him from the stadium or our press conferences.
The club could, of course, punish The Daily Mail as a paper by barring their reporters, but that would be ludicrous. Their chief reporter, Martin Samuel, is incredibly sympathetic to our plight, more so than any other journalist.
That's why it frustrates me when people say we're being weak or doing nothing. It oversimplifies things greatly.
How we deal with the press is a complex issue; there is no easy solution. As mentioned previously, you can only imagine the shitstorm we'd face regarding freedom of speech if we starting banning journalists. We're not Manchester United, and Pellegrini isn't Ferguson. The situations aren't comparable.
As such, I understand the long term approach we're taking now. It's a bit galling, but we don't really have any other option at the moment.
