City & FFP | 2020/21 Accounts released | Revenues of £569.8m, £2.4m profit (p 2395)

When is any punishment dished out, do we know if the club already knows 'unofficially' and has to wait for a certain date to go public

Is it inside knowledge at the club and is that affecting the team?

Players always say boardroom stuff does not affect them, that is bollocks. If the players know and are upset at any possible European ban for the club, any fine, loss of potential future good contracts etc is that the mental block for the last game?

I on a silly rant here.

I want to know what is going to happen now

Jesus Christ you guys need to chill the f*ck out, I wasn't bashing you and if making fun of my team makes you feel better then fine, I was just wondering if you guys were gonna take FFP seriously that's all. We not even in competition with title contenders so telling me we suck really is a moot point.

BTW I find nothing wrong woth City having money its a way to make you guys level with the big teams. But unfair or not City got loads of money in the wrong era coz now teams like you are now slated unfairly or not. When chelsea had loads of cash injected they was no FFP or any kind of scrutiny you guys are subjected to now. But as a club you guys need to adapt.

We know you're not bashing us - we're trying to educate YOU. The problem is that this subject is discussed more among City fans than other teams' fans because it is having a significantly noticeable effect on our squad development, and this is deemed unfair by us because the other major players were allowed to spend freely when they chose to invest. For you and other fans, many will choose to read and repeat the headlines and poorly researched articles appearing in the media as gospel - it's astonishing how many supporters of other teams seem to think we are on the brink of a ban.

The real problem for Spurs, Everton, Newcastle etc., is that if FFP does (somehow) pass the test of law, then it is very likely that the more successful clubs will need to generate funds in other ways. They are already being forced along these lines already - things like increased seat and shirt prices for fans are on the way once the economy improves a little further. I wouldn't be surprised if the bigger clubs outside of Spain aren't already looking at renegotiating TV money attribution in their respective leagues. And it wouldn't surprise me if an enhanced European league was at the back of some owners' minds.

One thing for sure is whichever way it goes, we'll be there - can you be sure your club will be too?

Slightly off topic but just read villa are on the verge of a £200 million takeover. Papers speculating this will put them back in the big time .with ffp. Could this happen and in reality are the buyers just wasting their cash? Has the horse already bolted for a deal like this to make any difference ?

I also wondered if something external had upset the team against Sunderland, the performance was unusually woeful. Plus the media onslaught including FFP leading up to the game had me comparing it to the Wigan cup final.

Maybe we are both clutching at straws.

I tend to think that the more people talk about taking over a club the less likely it is that it will happen.

If you're a billionaire wanting to take over a club, why are telling everyone about it? Just go out and do it.

Still, if it does go through FFP will make it impossible to make huge changes.

I hope this happens because they'll need some over-priced English players as a starter. Lescott+Richards+Sinclair+Rodwell = £100million please.

A week ago the press were reporting that City were facing sanctions - now it's gone quiet

So all the press had was knowledge of the process coming to a head, and everything else was speculation

And would you have this opinion about FFP if Spurs had sh*t loads of money to spend.... NO!! - You had a big wedge for Bale but your clueless owners wasted most of it!!! Now f*ck off you c*nt!!!

Just need to make sure that chicken shop across the road from White Hart Lane stays open. Beast thing about the place!!

The irony is that its UEFA's very own Champions League and the vast money earnt by competing in it that has made the top leagues a closed shop with the same teams reaping the benefits year after year and its only through investment like ours that you can join the party, hencecwhy they shut the doors to keep the cartel happy

there are some large gaps between the CL teams and the rest of their teams in their respective domestic leagues. It is a testament to the strength in depth of the EPL that the winners are not often decided until much later In the season.

They're just talking shite to sell papers to bitter londoners wearing red jerseys, as usual.

Any owner that takes over Villa will be allowed to invest in facilities and youth, nothing more. Being stable in the PL with the bt sports deal should enable some good players to be brought in from less wealthy leagues abroad though.
