City & FFP | 2020/21 Accounts released | Revenues of £569.8m, £2.4m profit (p 2395)

I suspect our friends in China might come knocking with some outrageous offers for some of our squad.

Yaya, simply in terms of profile, is worth £50m to a league that doesn't have to justify fair value to anyone.

I'd go as far to say if Samir and Demichelis went with him, we could get closer to £100m!

Its a very good call that mate.

I can hear the moral indignation now and gnashing of teeth pmsl.

Our net profit next year (i.e. the year the summer window opens) should be be in the region of £60-70m. Add back £20m for allowable FFP expenditure plus the £25m we are allowed to lose under FFP and we're looking at being able to absorb £90m additional expenditure. Someone's presumably done that sum, multiplied by 5 (based on 5 year contracts) and come up with that figure.

You give them too much credit.
I think they plucked it from their nether regions!

if something like that will happen i will sit on my sofa with a beer in hand and laugh at wenger and other teams fans going bonkers about that:)

Fuck them all. Chelsea have made a business out of flogging players in deals that i will be kind and say, raise eyebrows.

As Tolm says, China dont give a fuck about market values or FFP and to a league like theirs, players like Yaya are worth ridiculous money still.

The fact is, the Chinese are throwing money at so many clubs, so we can't be in the inevitable accusations and cross-hairs of some sort of scam (of course, this will still happen)

They offered £57m for Oscar FFS!!!

I just think the offers which come our way might have a little more butter on them!

Yaya must be loving it? If Pep wants him to stay, he will. And if the Chinese want to pay him £500,000 a week tax free, he can snap their arm off.

To think, I will still be paying my mortgage off for another 20-odd years, and he could clear it all with just one quarter of that weekly wage offer.

Fair fucks, I say!

Richard Wright for £10m? Imagine the fun they will have trying to pronounce that one ;)

Presuming of course they want to go. Demichelis is on record saying he would love to play in America and I doubt Nasri is quite ready for the Chinese knackers yard just yet.
