I'm slightly surprised that we've not sorted some more heavy duty sponsorships to help the income.

Don't be surprised if a particularly large one Stateside is announced over the the summer.
Can you expand BW?

Not really, all I know is that we have targeted the market there more than pro actively. There are lots of deals to be made when trade and financial incentives are the key.

Re: City & FFP (continued)

So reading between the lines eg If you want us to buy your goods in Abu Dabai you best come up with a nice sponsorship deal for MCFC.

A bit simplistic Rammy, think more of the financial sector where the money from the Middle East holds more clout.

Re: City & FFP (continued)

It's funny that clubs that just don't make enough profit to pass FFP get there books looked at with a fine toothbrush but teams like the scum who have sponsors left right and centre for ridicules amounts don't even get looked at as in dodgy tax havens

I never was any good at maths, and financial stuff is way over my head. I am really a simple soul. :-)

We are in the right, U.E.F.A and the cartel clubs are in the wrong, accept no punishment, accept no guilt, and if they don't back down, see the corrupt fuckers in court.

Re: City & FFP (continued)

What exactly are the details of PSG's deal with QTA? Their stadium is the Parc de Princes, their shirt sponsors are Fly Emirates and even looking at their webside I don't see anything.

If their deal is to be reduced it should be no higher than ours. Talk of only halving sure will mean it's still double ours.

Re: City & FFP (continued)

Whilst I am still of the opinion that a 'last minute deal with lots of mutual backslapping and bonhomie' will be the eventual outcome, if it does come to some sort of financial and legal battle it has echos of the FISA- FOCA war in F1 motor racing in the eighties which essentially was about smaller teams being disadvantaged by the major manufacturing teams in terms of revenue distribution and somewhat arbitrary application of the rules by FISA ie they always fucked the smaller guys over.

The ruling body FISA was led by a Frenchman Balestre at the time and the smaller teams under the FOCA banner by that upstanding pillar of the community Bernie Ecclestone who eventually won the day against the vested interests, although it was nip and tuck at the end. Admittedly City don't have anyone like Bernie on the team (which is kind of a shame because there are few better than Bernie when it comes to a dirty fight) but in terms of the largely English teams taking on the institutional bias of a European ruling body led by a pompous twat who also happens to be French it is remarkably similar.
