Listen. A lot of you are saying City aren't in a position to walk away from the Champion's League.

Let me tell you, we are.

The CHAMPION'S league is a competition which relies on it's prestige. UEFA will not ban us. They won't ban the Champion's of any country because it will fracture and devalue the competition.

Durham is defending us now on talkSPORT but they have been a disgrace over the last few years so they should fuck off.

Of course City are in a position to walk away from the Champions League.

But it's the sentiment that this will damage UEFA more than us that is wrong.

Champions of england not in the chumps league,it will make the competition a bigger farce than it already is.

Mate, you might think it's "a farce", but if it was it wouldn't be the biggest sporting competition there has ever been.
Give me the premier league title anyday over the chumps league DD.

That wont pay the bills though mate.

CL success is absolutely key to our plans going forward.

Re: City & FFP (continued)

I have a feeling this just isn't going to fly. It is giving off a distinct odour of sloppiness, to say the least. Typical megalomaniac conduct from Platini.

Re: City & FFP (continued)

There is definitely a mood swing in the media towards us after the £50mill fine came out.

Re: City & FFP (continued)

how convenient for the media to reveal our problems with FFP on the eve of our most important game of the season , and they are actually playing a guessing game , because they are predicting we will get the same punishment as PSG , there isnt any official announcement until friday . They are trying to destabilise us , just like last year on FA cup final day , with mancini rumours , they are devastated that their customers favourite teams rags and dippers are going to win fuck all , so they are trying every dirty trick possible . Come on city shove it right up them , finish the season in style and break a the goal scoring record , and make the bastard eat their words.

Decent article in mirror

clear as day this is a farce when you have owners like the glaziers and the like bleeding clubs dry with no intention to build.our owners are here for the long run and have complied with everything.

They've only assessed 76 clubs. As for dippers, they'll be competing in the same competition as us, under very different rules. I'm no legal person but I'd say there might be an issue there for UEFA.

All clubs that took part in UEFA competitions were assessed.

UEFA then looked further at 76 <a class="postlink" href="clubshttp://www.espn.co.uk/football/sport/story/287581.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">clubshttp://www.espn.co.uk/football/spo ... 87581.html</a>

They looked at all those clubs that made a loss in 11/12. They disregarded everyone else.

That is not an assessment.

Call it what you like assessment, measured ,evaluated, appraised picked out, picked on, monitored the selection only came from clubs who played in UEFA tournaments last season

Re: City & FFP (continued)

What makes me laugh is that the £165m/year deal PSG has with the QTA has been given a fair value of £100m/year! If anyone can show me a tourist board that has sponsored a sporting team or competition for that much I will eat my own head.

I also find it highly amusing how such a deal can be backdated. Essentially this is QTA saying "Come to beautiful Qatar in 2012, never mind that it's 2014!"

Sorry but they have.Man City had a license in 2013/14 that's the one that's being assessed along with all the other 200+ clubs that played in either the CL or EL last season. The FA don't send a list of the clubs who have been granted a 2104/15 licence until the season is over and its known who has qualified for UEFA tournaments. Liverpool will be included

Once Liverpool are granted a licence then their accounts will be examined in accordance with the monitoring requirements and around this date in 2015 we will know if they have failed.

Quick question; do you support FFP in principle or because your club did the major part of your investment before it had to be sanctioned by EUFA?
