City Firm?!?

The people who were in these so called firms are the people who were afraid to box and fight people one on one. Afraid of a fair fight without help.

They are the selfish people who's legacy means you can't drink standing up watching a match without segregation.

They are one of the main reasons why football costs so much.

The ironic thing is they are the first to complain about prices, no beer and having seats etc.

Was Muppet a half caste lad, glasses?
Yes, that's him. Also had bands Brigade and Yukiotani. Not seen him since about 85, but believe he still goes to the match now and again.

Midland Blue...spot on Armed Forces were from the moss...the Hamsters were from Denton. I know when the hoax turned into the Smiths they used to practice in a big old house that was a spliff den in Glossop! Bumped into Mike Joyce a few months back in that daft arse Danish furniture store Vulva or something...still a decent lad who gives you the time of the day.
Dont suppose you remember Ozzy.. mad red punk from Irlam, was always in Cavendish for the gigs, with a load of Oldham and denton lads

Corky are you a member of the WI?

Dont think people are condoning mindless violence in this thread.

No, not by name, though wasn't into the punk scene that much. Saw Armed Force a few times and used to live near the Apollo so hung around there and crashed the doors a few times when different bands were on. Saw the Jam there 3 times, X Ray Spex, Skids, Buzzcocks when all the seats were ripped up and piled into the middle of the hall. Also the Clash at Belle Vue supported by Siouxsie. Got more into music with the 2Tone thing.

Remember the Buzzcocks gig with the seats. Other belters at the apollo were the Clash on the white riot tour and SLF..the place got trashed. Always dicey getting the late night bus back to our end afterwards with the locals around there...or the Beano boys in Bellvue!

Always hear the stories of my dad about the old days when there used to be fights at pritty much ever match etc.

teams like Chelsea and West ham have know firms. What was City's like or called. Does it still exist?

Sorry for random questions just bored at work and always wanted to know. If you dont want to out anything across the forum, then PM me.

Cheers

Prick.

Ties in with the original topic. A lot of those that hung around the Apollo were the lads from City and the rags, and you're right Billy, it could get very dodgy for the punks trying to get home. Unfortunately, difficult to run away wearing bondage pants.
