ignore the thread if you dont wanna read it
is that too hard?
I refer you to the answer I've given Cheshire Blue.

If you're going to start spouting off your opinion on something it's normally helpful if you've got all the pertinent facts to hand beforehand, prevents you looking a cock.

I gave him the facts in the same answer you pasted half of. Who is the cock? Youre just editting what was written to try and prove a point. Whys that?

And as I said - if you dont wanna get involved - just dont

Ive read it all now - and got quite funny - which is half the reason I read these things.
Matty - there is clearly a weight of opinion thats says people do want to read about it.
As a mod you are entitled to an opinion, and clearly reading loads of stuff must be tedious - but thats your choice.
If a group of punters are waffling on about something I couldnt give a fuck about in the pub - I just clear off - I dont go over and give it thye "sigh" "yawn" stuf that seems the norm on here.
IMO there is a real elitist attitude on here.
Is that deliberate?
Surely its all about opinion - the differances and humour that arises is what makes it good. If not we could just read the city website

I dont like raw onions - but I dont feel the need to tell people that. I just dont bother with them. Cant the same approach be applied

What would be interesting, well for me anyway, would be a poll of people on here who have ever been involved with City's so called firm.

I think people would be astonished by how many people have been involved in some shape or form over the years. I personally know at least 15-20 posters on here who have been involved. They may have grown out of it now, but would still class themselves as one of City's lads...and perhaps defend the colours in certain circumstances when forced to (for example attacked in a pub).

Next time your in the ground look around you at the scallies, casuals, boys or whatever you want to call them...theres thousands of them, and at some point most will have been involved in a football related tear up whilst professing to support City. Its part of Manchester youth culture from the late seventies with the Perry boys onwards and helped define what you see on the streets of manchester now, fashion wise and music wise. It all has its roots in the terrace culture associated with violence and grafting.
