I rang the gossip phone in on Soccer am when they did that in the late 90's. I thought it as bollocks at the time but thought it'd be a laugh. Tim Lovejoy loved it and asked Nicky Butt to prove it. The weekend after, the red twat gave a statement to the News of the World denying it.
 
According to the OS the new kit is a big hit on social media. Surely the club are not so out of touch to believe it has been well received, but then again maybe it is liked by our global fans who are not so hooked on tradition.

Bollocks! Every bit of social media i've seen has been less than complimentary!

Maybe they're just seeing how many clicks they've had as a positive thing!

Should be a big seller in the department stores come xmas time. Pajamas always do well at that time of the year.
 
Couple of things to take into account, firstly most of the people filling in this survey will have done it because they didn't like the kit leaks and secondly kits are always growers, for example if you asked City fans on the day it was leaked I bet most would hate it, but if you asked them now a lot will have changed their minds
 
It was more of a kit survey than a consultation. Fans were not consulted on the badge design either, there was a survey before fans saw a design, and the first design seen was the one. To have a consultation you need a proposal to consult on.
 
I really like the kit. I don't normally like blue shorts but as they've gone with White socks I don't mind. The only downside for me is the fact that the design isn't unique for City otherwise I would love it.
