Etihad PR … me? Afraid not! But if they'd like to make me an offer :-)
Ref the suggestion of using the A380 daily from Manchester to Abu Dhabi … not in the plans at the moment, as Etihad is this Summer upgrading Manchester to twice daily Boeing 777-300 (which close to doubles seat capacity on the route over the twice daily A330-200). The A380 is actually very limited in terms of cargo uplift due to having two passenger decks. The B777-300 is one of the best performers for cargo as well as offering high capacity for passengers. Cargo is a major factor on services between Manchester and the UAE. Whilst competitor Emirates does use an A380 on one of its 3 x Daily Manchester to Dubai schedules, the other two flights are operated by B777-300's which address the cargo issue.
GDM … love your ROYAL JORDANIAN photo! Are you off to Amman?
