The leaking and briefing has been continuous and relentless and has been driven by our commercial rivals. It ranges from snide throwaway lines on social media, and off-the-record briefings to selective media groups, to full-blown leaking of confidential documents. It happened at UEFA including from those on the five-strong investigations committee itself and from those at the top of the organisation and is still happening with the PL investigation. Rival football fans and people in the media seem to be in denial about what has happened(even some City fans). Why are people still in denial? Is it some sort of coping mechanism? And the more that is leaked and the worse the interpretation in the press, the more ammunition the club has for showing the PL acting in bad faith, which, I imagine, is part of the claim. I had even toyed with the possibility, although unlikely, that the club has leaked the document anonymously for that exact purpose.
Anyway, I doubt anyone cares in a legal setting about idiot fans of other clubs believing what they want.
