City launch legal action against the Premier League

I don't want to be a party pooper but listening to that, how is this explained?

Newcastle have finalised a £25m-a-year front-of-shirt sponsorship deal with the leading Saudi Arabian events company Sela. The agreement will provide an early test of the Premier League’s new fair market value commercial regulations.
Yes that doesn't seem right then. The so called football expert maybe wrong. Or perhaps its just the scrutiny that is being applied to our deals and not others?

Not sure, the 25m a year seems small but they were allowed to go with it.

That comment about Roman having a 1 million pound season ticket was an eye opener, and some moan on here about the price of our tickets ;)

The Syed article is racist from start to finish. It is based on a false premise that City are "run by Abu Dhabi" when the club is owned by Sheikh Mansour as a personal invesment and Silver Lake. Even by his standards it is despicable. Didn't he previously liken City fans to sewer rats?
Any one in any doubt about City's ownership i ask them to explain UEFA'S case against City in 2020, quite simply it was that the sponsorship money from Etihad and Etisalat (state owned) was mostly being paid by the Owner sheikh Mansour, was disguised owner investment and breached the rules, The governing bodies of football know who own City, the state owned narrative, unlimited funds etc we all know is bullshit, the reality is we are just a better run, managed football club.

Meanwhile, the Premier League introduces new rules to distort the market...

"Premier League clubs have agreed to trial an alternative financial system which operates like a spending cap in the 2024-25 season.

The Squad Cost Rules (SCR) and Top to Bottom Anchoring Rules (TBA) will operate alongside the existing Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR) on a "non-binding basis".

Teams will be allowed to spend no more than 85% of their total revenues on squads under the new system.

Meanwhile, the TBA is an anchoring model based on the earnings of the bottom club."

The exact rules to be determined once the EPL have found a way for City to have breached them, while certain other clubs haven't.

So basically, every **** stays finishing in pretty much their usual position every season.

Suits me, but shit for everyone else.

And let's not forget the 24% owned by Silverlake and the Chinese, this seems to be conveniently ignored.
