City Matters thread

Club needs to make it easier to pass tickets to others if you can't make a game - Why screenshots can't be used? - The chances of someone other than the intended recipient using it, is extremely low - but they guard against such a simple thing like it's the nuclear codes. Least that's what I was told by a yoot in the ticket office - delighted to be corrected?

In the olde days - there were far fewer no shows - seats were used by others because it was easy to pass them on.

Unfortunately, not everyone has your attitude. That's why the club wanted to go down this route. Had everyone ensured their ticket was used when they couldn't, there'd be no issue.
If I return my ticket as an OAP the Club will sell it as an Adult and will not give an OAP or Junior the chance to purchase. Also if you return an Adult ticket, quite rightly you will only get the proportion you paid on your ST. But the Club will then sell that way and above the price. It's not surprising that ST holders who cannot attend the top fixtures chose to sell their tickets by other means.

That’s absolutely fine, it’s the people who simply leave their seats empty that are causing the problem.

I'm not sure why you say they'll only sell it as an adult ticket (unless I've missed something). I wasn't aware that a fan in a concessionary category can't buy it.

I also don't understand why people get annoyed that the club sell it at full price. They've paid you back what you paid for it pro rata, as you say, and it's then just another seat which they're selling at exactly the same price as any other comparable seats.

Yes and no. It's obviously the club's seat but whoever purchased it for whatever game for that duration of time it is their seat. If I am not going to a game for whatever reason I will always put my seat onto the ticket exchange, it would be stupid not to. They don't always sell though, depending on who the opposition is. Also if you're in the cup schemes you can't put those tickets on the ticket exchange which is a bit baffling why this option isn't available.
I use it a lot because one of my family has moved & we want to keep the 2 seats together. It’s always sold almost same day in ticket exchange - it’s a brilliant service

So what? They’re not charging you any admin fee for returning your unused ticket. What makes you think they don’t sell it to concessions? My spare seat has definitely been used by an over 65

Just can’t please some people - & OMG some really do like to moan

If they buy it back off an adult, they’ll refund 1/19th of the adult ST price, even if a junior ends up buying it back off them.

So works both ways.

Passing a ticket on should be acceptable (say) 3 times a season.

Thereafter, individuals tickets must go onto Exchange.

Good for fans, little loss for the club....win win !!

A lot of people share season tickets though, always have done. If you restrict it to 3 times a season you’re taking that away.
