Gueseppe Meazza / San Siro. Plenty of grounds are known by two different names. I prefer COMS but hate saying it, I generally try to avoid saying both.

We need a new stadium though and when we do it needs to have a new classy name that nobody can get wrong. The Mansour Arena :)

It hasn't been 10 years yet! Eastlands for me. It sounds more fortress-like. City of Manchester Stadium kind of feels like the local YMCA or something.

Strangeways, Rampton, Broadmoor, Bellmarsh, Barlinnie, Eastlands - they all sound like Butlins Holiday Camps to me.

ffs, can you imagine if the rags were allowed to call sold trafford, "the city of manchester stadium", they would jump at the oppourtunity. Its a fantastic name for the stadium, and leaves no doubt in the mind just where our club is from. winds the rags up no end.

"Eastlands" doesn't roll off the tongue like "Highbury" or "Anfield" does. It's a name I just can't get used to saying.

The City of Manchester Stadium is a mouthful but I just feel more comfortable saying it. Will type COMS for short.

Depending on which media outlet your watching, listening too or reading, it's either one or the other. It's never the same. (arrgh!)

TBH it get's on my nerves. It seems we're the only football club that has 'two names' for it's stadium across the media.(TV, Radio, Newspapers, etc)

I don't ever recall old Trafford, Anfield or any other football ground being called by any other name than it's original name in the media.(feel free)

This being the case, it's about time the club issued a polite directive to all media outlets to call our stadium the 'City Of Manchester Stadium' and not (fucking) Eastlands.(take note Sky!)

city of manchester stadium is it right gobful and shortening it to CoMS sounds fuckin stupid aswel so out of those 2 choices would go for eastlands but in all fairness when i refer to the ground i still call it maine road!!!

Eastlands is the generic name for the East Manchester area around the stadium. The stadium's official name is the City of Manchester stadium, which does what it says on the tin.
