City Of Manchester Stadium Or Eastlands: You decide!

I like "The City of Manchester Stadium" if you think of it as "City (football club) of Manchester" but it's more like "The City (an incorporated administrative district established by state charter) of Manchester"..... I know what I mean even if you don't, so to me it's Eastlands.

I have a picture on the wall in the games room it is one from the official shop and it is:-
City of Manchester stadium

Well it's built on top of what was Forge Lane and beaumont street so they would be the historical names for the patch of land, grew up round there and was always called it forge lane or bradford pit, but I call it eastlandsI since we moved.

How about The Johnson & Nephew Wireworks Memorial Bowl?

Just kiddin'....
Sound as it is City of Manchester Stadium.
Though when it's referred to as Eastlands also it's fine by me
it'll be as famous as any stadium anywhere in the future.

Personally I call it Eastlands and I like it that way. And I think it's a cracking proper old school football ground sounding name like Highbury or Anfield or Parkhead. City of Manchester Stadium is to much of a mouthful.
