Its the use of colour / religion /race in part combination or thereof.
Its not vilification if you refer to someone who is a gypsy as a gypsy.
It is if you refer to race colour or creed in a derisive manner when refering to them as a gypsy.
Calling someone the offspring of an unwed mother is not vilification in itself either.

Men also use the term whore to describe a female who provides sexual favours to them and others irrespective of their marital status / relationship status at the time of both parties usually for financial compensation.

Millions of children are born to loving couples who are not legally married.
Remember marriage in most countries is a legal act as well as having some religious context.
If you are not the son of such a person you can argue that the person has made a false statement and perhaps a rather crass statement but not argue that he has vilified you.

If this prick proves without doubt he isn't a gypsy son of an albanian whore then there might be some case to answer. If he can't end of story.

It depends Moomba on whether he has used insulting language in a racial context.
If he said to someone you are a gypsy its highly unlikely he will face a ban.

I would suspect he would be asked to write a letter of apology and donate his small fine to charity but I would be amazed in the extreme if he was suspended.
