City players who never fulfilled their potential?

Steve Redmond. The youngest Captain in City's history. Quick, solid, composed on the ball, good in the air, strong tackler... scored a few goals... Destined to play for England...

Then it all went wrong.

Steve Redmond was the first name that popped into my head.....but also Carl Griffiths I recall after signing him he came on again Leeds when Leeds had a very strong team scored turned the game at their place(although I think we still lost). Then he started the next game scored in the first few minutes and then Everton proceeded to do a hatcht job on him and he was off injured after 15min and he was never the same player again when he returned from injury.

Kinkladze, the biggest waste of amazing talent I have ever seen(and my favourite City player).

Caton, Mackenzie, Reeves, Robinson, Owen, Barnes. All decent players with good careers but expected to be superstars

Lee Croft, BWP and Willo Flood. First saw them in the Milk Cup in Ireland and all looked like they had real potential. Unfortunately it didn't happen.

Probably because he spent most of each game covering for the overrated and usually out of position Keith Curle.
