City players who polarised opinion

loved Anelka, Our 1st world class player in some time. Can't believe we pulled it off. definitely top 3 quality imo.

You didn't think he was miserable, selfish and someone who sought to leave City to continue his career elsewhere? We should have spent good money on a player to build a team around. Instead Keegan just signed another ex-Liverpool player.

Any english, expected to be the dog's bollocks but a mercenary nonetheless because chose Citeh only for the money to warm benches and see their careers ruined: Adam Johnson, Milner, Barry, Sinclair, Rodwell, Sterling, Delph, you name 'em.

Clive Allen - he just did not seem to do anything! I was at Chelsea away when he scored a cracker but apart from that cannot remember much.

Neil Pointon was unpopular because he replaced Andy Hinchcliffe and he bought the "Dissa" nickname with him from Everton. Most blues disliked him but I thought he was ok. He certainly made some robust tackles!

I remember Mark Ward playing on the left where he was crap. When White moved up front with Niall then Ward played on the right and showed that he was a reasonable player.

Rag cafe banned you have they? Thought you'd be on there after your mickeymouse win tonight.

Johnson (****), Barry, Milner all had huge impacts in FA Cup and title wins, Barry starting most games in such.

Sterling starts every week for us and has been class this season.

Now run along you Europa League watching little crumpet.

Paul Moulden, I always thought he was mint and was gutted when we got rid.

The biggy has to be Kinkladze as somedays he would be breathtakingly awesome and others he would not

he may have been but he was class and We should have tried to buy a decent strike partner for him. We went from Anelka to vassell ffs.

Barry and milner both overated massively by some blues and I havevwitnessed many a heated discussion about these two.

Well clearly Milner is not over rated. Would be perfect for Pep as his new right back.

I had a good chat with Nicky about City and he showed me a photo with him and Kinky on his phone when they'd met up. You'd be a Blue if your dad was a City legend. You would be.
Can you imagine him not being a blue ? Life wouldn't be worth living.

When you next have a chat with Nicky, ask him who is team was growing up, ask him if he is big mates with the boxer rag Steve the viking Foster and the other Salford rags he used to hang around with. There have been a couple of posters on here saying he had told them he was a rag growing up, also interviews he's given mentioning this as well, as well as Colin Schindler saying he had a united kit growing up in Fathers' sons and football. As with many Blues and rags I know, who your parents support means very little with some, and actually pushes some to 'rebel' and support the opposite.

As I said in a previous post he comes across better than a lot of our ex players, like Quinn or Mills, when he speaks in the media and I know he says he is a blue now, but that is for his current career as much as anything else I would suggest. Its never hurt Everton fans growing up like Carragher, McMananman and Fowler, all now completely associated with Liverpool since they played for them and they all talk about Liverpool as being their team. As for his friendship with Kinky its well documented, as was the crash they had racing the Ferrari, there were other stories about the pair of them that werent very flattering either, means nothing he has a pic of him, I have pics of my mates on my phone.

We didn't sell Anelka and replace him with Vassell. Pearce signed him some seasons later. Besides, I thought he and Cole looked good together.

Fowler was a gifted striker but out of shape and demotivated when he came to City. His signing should've been stopped for many reasons.
