As long as we don't get a bunch of douchebag Yankee and Cowboy fans I'll be glad to have some more people to meet up with to watch matches.
How bout a Packers/St. Louis Cardinals fan?????

That's ok. I'm a Phillies/Steelers fan.
Ah that explains the douchebag comment!

They mentioned the game on 2 of the 3 sports radio stations here in Dallas which shocked me! One had a 5 minute spot on it, even playing the audio to Fan Zone and "Take It Take It!" Had me in stitches as I was speeding home to watch the game.

When I was a teenager watching a dodgy stream of Boro absolutely thrashing us at 7am local time, never did the thought ever cross my mind that City would be on flagship ESPN, CNN frontpage, and challenging for the Premiership title. It's been a surreal couple of days and never in my wildest dreams have they equaled the excitement and pride I've experienced.

How about a Mets fan?? BTW I have been supporting City probably for longer than most of you lot have been ALIVE!!!!! Think about trying to support City and learn about the club BEFORE the internet-WAAAAY BEFORE!!!! It wasnt easy!

the other side of the coin was told to me by a friend, an expat scot, who has the misfortune to work for aon in the states. at the start of the season all employees are given a free rag shirt and are expected to wear them when told to do so. for big games they give them the afternoon off work providing they agree to wear their rag shirt and be frogmarched down to a local bar to support the rags on tv.

he told me "our company is inundated with manchester united propaganda. what are the odds that a chance to stay in the office and work sounds like a better option than wearing a red aon shirt and going down the pub to cheer for the team in the aon shirts?"

a memo had been sent to everyone virtually ordering them to wear their rag shirts on the day but my mate conveniently "didn't see it until it was too late". he hates his employers' over the top nazi ragness with a passion. he wouldn't have been able to wear his rag shirt anyway as he keeps it in his garage to mop up oil drips from his car or any other shit that happens to be around.

what a bunch of shitheads aon are. they and the rags are well matched.

Re: City talked up big time ..USA/Canada ... still work to do !

Traveling back home to Orlando, from St. Louis, today and stopped in airport by stranger to congratulate me on a great game & result on Monday (I was wearing my city shirt).

Only thing that still bugs me is that the majority of US commentators have a speech disorder. Whenever the word 'Manchester' comes out of their lips, they can't help themselves but follow it with United ! seriously, all the f'in time ..... 1/2 the time they don't even catch themselves doing it. I suppose it's only a matter of time ....

I get one night at home then on a plane for the Newcastle game and QPR :D my skin is tingling with excitement as I write this.

Dude, not all Yankees fans are cocks and I love their alternative version of YMCA, only heard in the bleachers I'm afraid.
