I’ve watched the first 5 episodes now and really enjoyed it. But one thing strikes me - I’m glad I’ve got the subtitles on because I can barely understand a word Pep says, especially when he’s doing his intense half time talk, speaking really quickly. I’m thinking to myself, surely some of these players can’t be following this, especially those where English is not their first language? And yet they all sit their hanging on every word.

It’s like when you’re in a meeting at work but haven’t got a fuckin’ clue what’s being discussed but you still sit there nodding along anyway so your colleagues don’t think you’re thick.

After time they will get used to him but at first it must be a fucking nightmare ha ha

That one showed the good, the bad and the ugly. This city one just feels like a complete puff piece designed to show how perfect and great city are.

Aside from the brief pep team talks I just found it far too cringey. Saying that my son absolutely loves it so I understand I’m probably not the target market!

How can you have NOT enjoyed that as a City fan ???

I disagree that there is nothing for non City fans. It gives a fascinating insight into how a top club is run and the insanely great facilities at this level of football compared even to 15 years ago. Remember how Ronaldo criticised Utd's 18 months ago? From catering to transport it showed how "best in class" City has become in all it does.

I think that's a stretch for what the general public are looking for from a sports documentary. But like I say: we got Netflix to pay us for what amounts to a promotional video. Lovely bit of business.

Just watched this. Thought it was fabulous. The last episode was quite emotional. Not sure why they felt the need to include footage of the rags treble win though. Beside that, and the daft bit where the guy dresses up to welcome the players which was bizarre, it was brilliant. Loved Pep's talk after the defeat to Southampton. Set aside some time blues and watch it. The best team in the land and all the world.

There was still the incidents with cancelo and Phillips which where totally glossed over. Was just too vanilla for me.

Enjoyed it but thought the footage from around istanbul was poor. They should have asked fans for footage if they didn't have any.
Loved it for sentimental reasons but it just felt like a longer inside city for me. Understand it's made by the club

Good post Urban G. Shame he was a egotistical balloon. Interesting seeing the electronic turnstile counters in action. Wonder if PS outsourced an early computerisation project to an embryonic Fujitsu in the late 70s?
