City v Arsenal post match discussion

Poor today on most fronts , mainly the managers bad decision making and Silva and Yaya having off days. Why drops Tevez for a half fit Aguero? Why no Gareth Barry in a game that was going to be a battle of midfields? Dzeko shouldn't have come off he seemed to hold everything up with Aguero not looking sharp at all. Tev and Dzeko together and we'd have.

Might have been fucked after the slog in Madrid and the positives were Kompany and Dzeko both looking better. Hard work needed now, we need to get back into the swing of tings!

I thought kompany was man of the match. Much better from him today. 8

Zabaleta positionally is not at this level for me. He is great against the so called lesser sides but against the very best not quite good enough. 6

Lescott was shaky first half an I think Mancini is looking to replace him with nasastic long term.6

Clichy was decent bar the odd poor cross. 7

Yaya had some good moments and some poor. His delayed pass to aguero being a good example of the latter. He is not effective as part of a midfield 2. 6

Garcia was the biggest worry for me. Looked really slow at times. 5

Sinclair was ok in my opinion but with no final ball. 6

Silva saw the passes but failed to execute hardly any. 6

Aguero- not as much running as usual. Little service first half 6

Dzeko - much better from him and shouldn't have gone off 7

Subs

Rodwell - decent. Thought he helped us find a foothold in the game 7

Tevez - we were 2nd best last 20 mins although still worked hard 6
the german played brilliant for them,he read everything

Edin was unlucky to be brought off today.

We've also got some top players going through a bad patch, Silva, Vinny, for example, but we'll come good soon!

A few good performances, Edin played well, and Lescott deserved the goal.
But - Who was it who missed the clearing header on the cross when they scored?

Javi Garcia got a soft touch which caused Lescott's poor clearing header. Shit happens.

clichy m.o.n. your taking the piss

Go on then enlighten me.

Clichy did fuck all wrong today and he has been by far the most consistent this season. He very rarely puts a foot wrong. Rapidly becoming one of my favourite players.
gave the ball away on countless times . sinclair was'nt much help 1st half

Incorrect. He was one of the only ones not to be constantly giving it away and as for Vinny. He had a better game but still nowhere near the VK we all love

You make out as though we were unlucky not to win it. We were miles off the pace and have been poor all season.

A lot of people would of left today thinking we were lucky to take a point.

People know what game we are playing, they are probably hoping Mancini reverts back to what worked last season and go to 4231 instead of 442 or 352. We look all over the shop defensively.
If we started with "one striker", people would be calling for Mancini's head for being too defensive. I agree there was an element of luck which allowed us to get a point today, but a bit more luck and it could have been 3. Taking the long view, there is still a long way to go and it is a point vs a good arsenal side. If in May we win by one point, today will have been pivotal.
It's not hard for Tevez to drop deeper when we lose the ball.

--Garcia----Barry--
Tevez--Yaya--Silva
--------Aguero------

Mancini would not get any shit for that. Like De Niro said 'if its not broke don't fix it'. Switch back to 4231 and knock the 442 shit on the head.
Mancini shouldn't be getting shit anyway, apart from subbin Dzeko instead of Sergio.

Tevez is not the type of player to "get back", he works hard on the pitch but he knows defence is not his job. You won't often see him in our half.

The attackers you put up above look toothless to me, with Aguero on his own and Tevez as a winger. You'll never see Mancini line up half the team like that.

Tevez is best around the box, there is others who run the flanks.
