City v Arsenal Post Match

At least navas attempted to make things happen, what about fernando what does he bring to the party

I didn't expect that result but I thought a performance as poor as that was on the cards with conceding so many goals against average and struggling sides in the last few weeks.

It's worrying sign for me that in the last 12 months any manager with any decent tactical nous can find us out and get his team to put in a decent tactical performance and just kill us on the counter, it works so frequently.

Lose at Chelsea and it's all over for me, Chelsea won't drop 8 points again, no chance.

Shocking performance not helped by injuries, AFCON and key players lacking fitness.

Hailed as a tactical master-class, yet all they did was what every other team has done here this season, just with better quality players, the result was coming.

You can't expect teams to play to ure strengths especially when your playing at home

It was one of those days where nothing went right. So much of our play involves Merlin working with Yaya and Nasri around the box. Merlin was lost because he didn't have the support around him.

I have to say I am not a fan of Fernando. I would prefer bringing Jason Denayer back from Celtic next season and playing him in that role.

The other issue is that Kun and Vinny lacked game time and appeared rusty.

Overall we cop it on the chin. Does anyone know when ACON finishes and Yaya comes back?

We must get used to absences and try to.....
1) score from corners
2)defend better at set pieces
3)make useful transfers

This has been coming for a while now. Performances haven't been great and when you throw in the usual injuries and ACON they got us at the right time. Eight behind after Chelsea I am afraid and looking over our shoulders at the rags.

We haven't won a Premiership game without Yaya since April I think I read somewhere.

When next the question is asked "who do we miss the most?" The answer is Yaya, he pulls us through these games time and again.

I hate AFCON.

YaYa is our conductor. He dictates the pace and is always open for a pass. Nobody adopts this role when he doesn't play, and consequently we look rudderless.

We need another central midfielder who can do this job.

The arse had a game plan, stuck to it and came away with the points,we,well looked pretty fucking poor in all departments.16,16 fucking corners and not one sniff of a goal threat,I mean what the fuck is that ?....still,I think we will be well up for Maureen's girls in 2 weeks and I expect us to get the 3 points there.

If this game showed us anything, it is that without Yaya the tempo is far to slow, the passing goes missing and we lose that added creative spark and fear factor. You can say all you want about his attitude off tbe pitch but on it he is pivotal to our set-up.

Corners have been terrible for a long time now. Its a waste of time taking them. Crossing into the box equally poor today.

I think Pellegrini is a good coach but I cant see the logic in having 3 strikers on yet not real service to them. We werent creating enough chances withamidfield 5, let alone a 3. However credit to Arsenal for shutting us down.

Aguero and Dzeko seemed rusty while Kompany grew into the game after a , lets be honest, torrid first 55mins. Of course them getting game time is positive in the long run.

We arestill only 5pts behind Chelsea, so it is all still to play for especially considering that we seem to play better when chasing than when leading.
