City V Bayern Champions League Final

I'm laughing at the delusional nonsense I've just been reading on this forum.

We have less than zero chance of winning it this year.

We've hardly faced any serious competition other than Juventus (who beat us home and away) and some on here are thinking we can beat any of the remaining three.

This is the same kind of delusional stuff people were writing not so long ago that we would still win the league, completely ignoring the fact that we've been inconsistent all season long!

Sorry to be a party pooper, but we have no chance of winning the competition this year, BUT if we get to the final, that will be a HUGE achievement and something to proud of in my opinion.
I agree that some of the people saying we could still win the league quite recently were a bit delusional, but I don't think that applies to the CL now we're in the semis. To win the league required us to win about 8 games in a row, having been inconsistent at best all season, AS WELL AS several teams above us having complete meltdowns. Although mathematically possible, that combination was so unlikely it did border on the delusional. Winning the CL, however, has a lot fewer moving parts, so even though I agree that it's still pretty unlikely, we don't need to rely on results outside our control and we don't need a long run of good form - just a couple of good performances and a bit of luck could be enough.

we finish 5th bayern sack pep paranoid he will throw it, so txiki being a right chancer sacks pellers and appoints pep who then wins the final for us securing champs league football and our press go full on city are twats for betraying pellers

I could live with that.

Tbh I dont think its healthy if we were to meet BM in the final bearing in mind Peps position now. I dont think its good for football knowing the manager of a CL final team will be joining the oppostion finalists the following season. Just doesnt ring right, sorry.

I agree that it's very hard to see us winning it, but I think it's strange to then say "but if we get to the final it will be a huge achievement" as though you think that's possible. Tbh, I think getting past any of the remaining teams over 2 legs is a tougher task than winning a one legged tie on a neutral ground. If we were to somehow get to the final past any of those potential opponents, you could hardly call anyone deluded to then think winning the final is possible.

On what basis is it bad ? what is your reasoning to see such circumstances as bad.
Sniff sniff.

What a pile of bollocks. Many people have to give notice when working and they don't just switch off and stop doing the job they're being paid for. They're all professionals and nothing will get in the way of that. If we play BM in the CL, Guardiola will be doing all he can to win, as will Pellegrini, which is exactly how it should be.

Wouldn't worry me in the least, I must admit.
