City v Boro post match

What Liverpool did today, that's what we should be doing to lower/mid-table sides.
I know what your saying but the opposition do have something to do with it you know. It's no coincidence that the start last season is mirrored by this. Teams have sussed us out. We are the team to beat and teams set up specifically as a result. For some of them it's their cup final coming to the Etihad.

We haven't been sussed out though, we have missed easy chances to finish off Everton now Middlesboro. Chances Liverpool have been taking.

Just like after the last round of champions league games none of the teams involved won the following weekend.

Massive advantage to Liverpool and Chelsea. that said we shouldn't be drawing 3 home games in a row against that level of opposition. even hull beat Southampton and Chelsea murdered Everton. not good enough...

Pep: "The second balls, free-kicks, throw-ins... they (opponents) are playing for that. They are looking for those situations."
Pep: "People say, “Use the counter attack,” but how are we supposed to use the counter attack when the opponent don’t attack?"
Pep: "It’s impossible to use it when the opponent doesn’t come out. You have to attack 10 players. It is not easy."
Pep: "But teams who don’t want to attack and just stay there... what we have to improve is to be more clinical, precise, lucky in the box."

As Liverpool and now Chelsea are proving, even if a team comes to defend you can still be ruthless. Yes teams might sit back but they can be beaten. Very slow build up play will get you nowhere when teams defend and we worryingly arent learning that from the last few league home games

It would help if pep didnt rest players for england Sterling could of made the difference.
