City v Boro post match

Need more composure to see a game out.
Need another striker, but he will be here in January, for when Aguero subbed.
But we did well first half in breaking down a team that parked the bus.
Tired second half after Ch. League.
One win in 5 in the Prem.
Come on City.

I was thinking about saying it's about more than just winning for City now(we want to win playing pretty like only the very best do) but when has it EVER only been about winning for City fans?
I know mate. I know we're a different club now with different expectations but I can't see some of these being around during the heady days of Benson, Machin or Clarke.

Can clearly see the effects of no European commitments with Chelsea and Liverpool

Chelsea 4-0 against Everton

Pep needs to rotate well

Omg that's the most self-righteous piece I've read on here for a long, long time. Supporters are perfectly entitled to their opinion and if they think we won't win anything and dare to criticise Pep then their voices should be heard.

Just my opinion.

Did you see what i did there?

We needed to hold the lead and he was stopping them getting down the right,he would have been there to stop the cross,1-0 would have done, stupid game management with a few minutes to go
Having thought about it Pep shouldn't have made those changes, Aguero for Kelechi fair enough(doesn't change much defensively) but we were comfortable, all the players were settled in their positions with so little time left it only gave them a chance to capitalise on those changes... we should have stuck it out with only a few minutes left.

I still think Pep needs to use Zabba as the benchmark for the commitment our defence needs to show, could you see Zabba being soft in the challenge when that cross was fired in and Clichy looked back at the onrushing player and decided not to jump? He might not have won the ball but he'd have made a decent attempt and made it more difficult for him.

Apples and oranges.

If you think we are worse off as a club and a team and that our playing style is worse and the overall plan then i dont know what to say other than completely disagree.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm almost certain you were predicting Pellegrini would win the league at this stage last season?

First half we totally dominated and played some wonderful football but didn't take our chances (bar the solitary goal).
Second half, 'Boro came out believing there was something in it for them, and pressed us very well. They resorted to long ball knowing full our high line would give them chances. They also quickly sussed that they had more success in the air than on the ground.

Ultimately, they controlled the tempo in the second half and they probably deserved the point (or at least made the most of their game plan and nicked a great point). Lousy result for us mind.

Many will say it's not the end of the world, and results like that can happen. They'd be right.
It's also fair to say that a PL winning team can only sustain a handful of such results and we've already had two in Everton and 'Boro. We've yet to face LIverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea - so we've got our work cut out.

'Boro support was very good.
