City v Boro post match

Too many players display a sort of arrogance based complacency in their ability, performance & reputation.

The game seems so easy for some of them that they forget to do the dirty work in closing a game out or getting it won.

They are like artists who stand back to admire their work while someone nicks the canvas.

We have to develop the ALL BLACKS mentality....Relentless,Remorseless,Ruthless & ULTRA-PROFFESIONAL !!

We will not achieve greatness until we take that final step.

Even the greats lose

All down to poor finishing IMO, but overall, I think we are moving in the right direction and have improved
Until we see how we handle the top 4 the juries out for me mate.
What happened to the good old days beating all comers by 4 on a regular basis playing fast exciting direct football before we started to play walk it in the net ?

Games like yesterday and indeed most park the bus home games would be perfect for nasri - big loss.

Are we any further forward than last season ?
Worse off I in the league ,not played a top 4 team bar spurs.
About the same in the chams league
Out the cap one cup
No nearer to getting a settled first choice back four
No settled position for our midfielder s
And gone with a style of play that if the forwards don't press the keeper we struggle with
No pace and desire besides barca and wba
Are we much better off than this time last season ?

If you can't see how things are and are going to be a lot better then you must just be a really negative person
You can put like for like stats up to make anything look a certain way

Had we beaten United away last season ?
Had we beaten Barcelona last season ?
Has Sterling been improved by Pellergrini this much ?

We missed 2 penalties v Everton and played very well, we win that game 99 times from 100
If one of the best strikers in the world scores the sitter he missed yesterday for 2-0 it's 3 points

Not even saying we will win the league, although I feel if we are within reach by 6 points on April 8th it's ours, but are City any better off than last season ? I'd say yes

Even the greats lose

True,but it's how.

Nothing wrong with being beaten by a team who are better on the day. But pissing 2 home points away in injury time against an organised but limited Boro is so frustrating, coming after dropping 4 more points in the previous home games !!

This is going to be a tight league...."don't look back in anger" !!

If Spurs are anything to go by we may struggle but it boils down to whether we can take our chances as and when they appear. We will make defensive mistakes most certainly but its the mistakes that our players continue to make in front of the opposition goal that are letting us down.
