Obviously, the penalty was a crucial moment in the game but as a whole, city dominated the match and the somewhat misily scoreline was due to us not taking our chances in the game. The team played with energy, determination and undersatnding of the tactics and what the manager wanted from them.

Kolo Toure was man of the match- he read everything and was absolutely no nonsense and dominant. I was also impressed with nastatsic .
Yaya toure is an attacking midfielder - com- supporting striker, we all know that, right?

So can we muster enough audacity to hope? well i dont know but the fans and the players can take a lot of encouragement and happiness from this game.

Big positive: Jack Rodwell.
Negetive: Chance conversion rate( not criticism, just an account of what happened in this game).

You have a point about the conversion rate ....

BBC stats show both sides enjoyed 50% possession each ..... but City edged the shot count 11-1 !

Credit to Mancini for finally fucking off the notion he needs to start every game with two forwards. Personally I think we're far more threatening with one up top and a supporting cast of Yaya, Silva, Milner (and Rodwell today).

Nasri's future at the club has got to be fucked now. He's clearly not arsed, Mancini's clearly not arsed about him, and frankly Milner/Yaya create far more when pushed forward then he does. Was a big fan of his when he joined but not anymore, not by a long stretch.

Have to say though that I thought Hazard & Mata were as good as anyone in our side. Imagine if we'd signed either instead of Nasri we'd be an infinitely better team.

Well done for your backhanded compliment to Mancini. You just cannot help yourself can you ?

Fantastic effort by all the lads. Kolo was incredible. A great performance and I noticed he also cleared the ball from Joes save. Also you could see how much the save meant to Joe.

Munching on humble pie in my house. I thought Javi had a great game and he and the turbo charged Jack Rodwell were absolutely enormous. Also thanks David yet again for having a hand in both goals.

It works well having one up top.
