City v Chelsea Post Match Thread

Disappointing but the home record had to go sometime. Shame it was to Chelsea though. Seems the luck was with them and every loose ball went to them. Demichelis not the answer. Don't know why he stayed on. Can't understand why Milner wasn't used.

After they hit the post 3 times and we could have been down to 9 men or less, one thing they were not is "lucky".

Disappointing, and very poor performance. Difficult game made harder with all our injuries, was always going to be tough without Aguero, Fernandinho and Nasri.

Shame we couldn't shut that cock Mourinho and his media fan boys up though, the usual gobshites will be full of it in on Sky and in the papers tomorrow. We missed the chance to make a big statement tonight.

This match just showed the importance of Fernandinho.

Defensively, we just weren't tight enough. Fernandinho would've been on them like a rash. He's great at breaking up play and has a tremendous workrate. With a CM pairing of MD and YT, we just weren't tight enough. MD usually gets caught up the field and cannot get back while we all know that Yaya is best offensively.

In big games, Fernandinho, IMO, is our most important player and in games like these, without him, top sides can exploit us.

Bingo

Dzeko needs to be shipped out - takes way too many chances before scoring
Silva really needs to work on his finishing
Di Micheles - can't be ALL his fault.
Navas - awesome

Absolutely no urgency today. A bit relaxed... like our manager. Chelsea on the other hand were like a bunch of chavs fighting over a burberry hat.

But it's absolutely no drama. 2 points off the top. Hopefully all the attention will be on Chelsea now.

Well and truly schooled tonight!

F*cking hate Maureen but he got it spot on tonight and Pellers had no answer.

We def have the best first XI in the premiership, but rest of squad is mid-table standard.

At least the cringeworthy quadruple wankfest will stop now

This all day all night

Too many arrogant fans on here quoting stupid scorelines. Where r those cocky fools now?

Injuries are of course a blow but that doesn't change the fact Pellegrini was abused by Jose tonight. Pelle has done a lot right but he isn't immune from criticism and he got this one badly wrong on all fronts. Injuries didn't help us but still the players out there were good enough to get a result tonight but as I said Pelle just got it all wrong from start to finish. Need to dust ourselves off and get back on track now.
