Good performance and a much needed morale boosting victory.
Negatives - Fernandinho, another shocking performance. At the moment he looks off the pace and making to many errors.
Fernandinho was excellent, sweeping up in front of the back four.

Seriously - I think he is one of the main reasons the formation is struggling. He gets in good positions but is too lighweight. Thought McCarthy for Everton was much more effective in similar role. Give me NDJ or Barry any day of the week at this moment in time. He may adapt - hope he does.
Yaya is the reason the formation is struggling not fernandinho. Yaya puts no defensive work in at all leaving it all to fenandinho. People like to pick out fenan because he is the new scapehoat and not a fan favourite. I'm oretty sure fenan had more takles and interceptions than mcarthy, people just like to moan.

Anyone else feel emotionally drained ? I didn't sleep well last night thinking about todays game. I need a kip big time.

Was up all night but I had to do a fair bit of work in preparation for my client visitations today so it took my mind off the game a bit.

Must admit although he didn't start the game well when VK came off I was concerned.

When they scored first I thought here we go again.

To equalise within a minute was critical.

Very important to get back to winning ways, shaky start and it was crucial to score so soon after them, gave the players and the fans a lift. Some very good performances today notably, Negredo, Kolarov and Milner. I was pleased to see Pellegrini take off a striker and bring on Nasri as this gave us almost complete control for last 15 mins or so, Overall very pleased well done boys.

Jesus.

Was a fairly run of the mill early kick off game to me. I don't think it entered my head last night.

We needed to win, but it was hardly emotionally draining. I enjoyed the game and was very pleased with the performance.

Not how I saw it at all. Our midfield totally dominated theirs, just like in the derby. His job was just to sit and sweep up behind yaya and he did it very well in both those games. I don't think that's actually his natural position, but he's learning to do it pretty well.

He was an important cog in today's win and the derby.

Fair do's mate - everyone entitled to an opinion. For me he gets in great positions to make tackles or interceptions but ends up being easily brushed off. Hopefully he will adapt - maybe needs to bulk up his upper body a little.

Thought he got in the way a lot and made them play backwards, gave time for us to get back.
Job done. If that's shocking well I don't know what some people are expecting. Sure his passing
was wayward at times, but he wasn't as bad as some people make out. IMO.

Well done Blues! You made me happy today. :-)
Had my doubts on the way there, but proved me wrong.
Could've been more.

Very good, professional performance today from City. Great win against a really dangerous Everton side who came to Eastlands with a great record and on a great run of form.

They caused us a few problems in the first half but we settled intro the game quickly and our quality shone through in the end. Great to see Silva back weaving his magic, well done Negredo, utter beast and also well done Kolarov. I'm the first to rip into him when he's cocking up so let's give him his dues, good performance today until he got injured.

Hopefully Vinnies withdrawal was just a precaution.
