City v Everton Post Match Thread

A much needed 3 points. The team seemed to get better as the game went on.

I have to say that having Merlin back in the team makes a huge difference. He is the player that makes us tick over.

Negredo was fantastic! Great player who thrives on the physical side of the English game.

Concerned about Vinny. I wonder what the problem is now.

Plenty of schadenfreude to be had at GrandOldTeam for those in need of their weekly fix of laughing at others.
They are blaming the ref.

They've obviously forgotten the blatant hand ball pen that wasn't given at Goodison last season when it was 1-0 and in the season before that as well

Much, much better. Credit to Pellers for making the changes he did. Side looked so much more balanced. Solid performance and just exactly what we needed. Well played lads. Onwards and upwards.

Do you mean apart from playing people onside all the friggin time!!...both times leading to goals

Average performance, still getting bossed too easy in midfield.
Still to slow in build up and passing.
Jury still out on Pellegrini's formation.

Ray Stubbs asking Martinez if they deserved a draw. No they fucking didn't Ray you scouse ****. Well pleased with today, thought Nasty had a really good game when he came on. Silva magical and Negredo is certainly The Beast!.....Jimmy Milner good in stopping the Baines threat too.

-- Sat Oct 05, 2013 3:12 pm --

Funny one...

Good result, everyone dug deep and responded well against Everton who gave a good account of themselves, I thought Kolarov did well today, and Silva gave a top performance, while Negredo certainly got into the Everton defenders faces and took the equaliser well, and then we just kick on, still nice to get the result against Everton..............well done guys..........

I would like to see Nasri and Silva start together. Nasri has off ball movement like no other but Silva may be the only who could get those balls to him.
Been saying this for 3 years. Best in the league off the ball. Don't know why he and SIlva hasn't worked too well in the past. Coz he moves like no other.

It has. They played together throughout the first half of 2011/12 - together with two strikers - as we handed out hammerings left, right and centre. We're nearly always better with the two of them in the team.

The idea that they don't play well together was really just something that took hold as our performances tailed off from January into March/April 2012 (they also played together every game (I think) in the final 6 games that we won).

id like to see us play a 4231 with...

--------Aguero (Negredo)--------
Nasri-----Silva-----Navas (Milner)
