City v Everton Post Match Thread

Disappointing to see trolling in this thread and it should be removed criticising us for only being good at Southampton when they were do to 10 shows games not even watched.

Good performance - great fortnight and we are right back in the thick of things - Dzeko back from injury just in time and he has proven for nearly 4 years he can get consistent goals for us and usually when it most matters - time to step up yet again edin we need you now.

I think we can survive without aguero the next month or so but if it is 4 months I think late jan and into fen if we qualify on weds his loss will impact results in December it should influence margin .

Three weeks ago people were calling for pellegrinis head, the league was written off , we were out of Europe, all our signings were crap and we were about to need a new manager and a clear out. Now the whinging is that we weren't good enough in clean sheet wins against soton and Everton . Truth is there was one bad thing about today and that was Kun what really happened is we moved within an hour and a half of being top of the league

Brace yourselves for the inevitable MOTD hatched job on Mangala and Fernando, and doubtless not a bloody word about how Nasri and Yaya were brilliant.

Eggs - actly my view as well. City will get 'hammered' on MOTD.
B*ll*cks to them - we got 3 points.

Anyone near the crowd trouble? What started it off, just scousers being upset at losing?
Yeah near me.....those scouse c**ts didn't take defeat too well. More handbags than anything but went on for a good 10 mins!

always seems to be a bit of trouble with them, makes for a better atmosphere though

I'm in 110 and as someone next to me said 'It's tradition now'. Always happens with them.

Gutted about the Aguero injury but like so many have said on here!! step up the TEAM..

Great one handed save from Harty, credit where credit's due.

Thought we dawdled a bit in the box making the wrong passes and decisions at times other than that we played well against a team hell bent on trying to stop us from gaining ground on Chelski. The X Chelski players trying more than most IMO. Shame, Shame on you Gaz Baz for that Elbow on Milly...

Pen was a bit soft but it nearly a little bit, makes up for all the one's not given in past games..

Did Martinez watch the same game as me? Everton controlled the game??? He`s more bitter than Moyes.

Mangala lucky yes. Fernando dangerous play no, Barry was ducking to head the ball.
On the other hand Mirrallas elbow on Navas in the first minute. Barkley diving twice. Barry elbow on Milner. So yes the ref was crap, but he was crap for both teams.

With no Kompany, Silva, Aguero it`s a great 3 points. Fuck the pundits, MOTD, and Fat Sam.

TBF I think he meant they controlled "parts of the second half" I presume after Barkley came on. They did look more dangerous when he came on but even so if any team looked more like scoring the second goal it was us. As for fat Sam he's still brooding over the 6-0 thrashing we dished out to them so he can continue looking like a bulldog chewing a wasp.

That's what I meant. Yeah, it should have been a pen but not sure you could say it was a chance by itself, created by great interplay between the team.

Stop digging ffs. We have if its not the same another pige on our hands here. Mr contrary bollox.

Forgive me for not creaming myself when we only have 45% possession against a team that's just sold half its players.

Fuck me, I bet you had a heart attack when we created a few chances today, let alone when we had the highest pass percentage in Europe when we played Villa this year and had about 30 shots on goal - which was our best performance this year btw.

You should just fuck the game off mate and just watch the scoreline. Nice and easy for you then. No worries.

You are talking about Southampton as tho they sold players and didn't replace them in which they did. They'd only conceeded 1 goal at home 6 in total which was very good. 45% possession so what how long did we have 10 men for? then 9 men? How many saves did Joe Hart make? As for the Villa game Silva was the stand out player the others were just average.

Gary Neville must hate having to commentate on City games - it must be really painful, grinding your teeth for 90 minutes.
Any chance of an articulate ex-city player standing in for him - if such a thing exists?
