I don't know why people have Jesus in the side ahead of Aguero. Jesus is a fantastic young prospect. Aguero is the fantastic finished article, and unlike previous seasons where Pellegrini had him strolling around the box, Sergio works his arse off in games now as well. He also retains possession superbly. He is in short, a better all round player than Jesus right now and for me, he must start.

I am not sure Pep sees it that way, but what does he know ;-)
Some think he is past his prime while Jesus is entering his.

And for the record, Pellegrini didn't have Aguero strolling around the box" that was all Aguero's choice, but he had no competition hence why he did that. Now he does. Good for City.

As to being a better all round player, that's clearly debatable. I think he is a far superior finisher, but he is half the player Jesus is outside the box.

I've found Liverpoool to be the most impressive team in the early going. Yes they have a suspect defense and . But their Press is intense, their midfielders are all aggressively interchangeable without dropofff. And they have the fastest system wingers in Salah and Mane. Sadly ours in Sane and Sterling are probably just as fast, but our system is significantly slower.

I really would rather not play them now. That said, 2-1 City... As we have the technical ability to slow this down into a borefest. I pray we do. As it seems our best chance of of victory. Tiki taka those fukkers into a coma.

No, Sergio is on record saying how he found it difficult under Pellegrini because Pellegrini didn't want him coming deep and getting involved in play. He wanted Sergio to stay up front and to rely on playmakers to feed him the ball. Which resulted in some supporters thinking he wasn't working hard enough but the reality is simply he was trying to do what the manager wanted.

As to Jesus being better outside the box, you should stop listening to the hype and just watch the game. It's simply not true. Watch how many times Sergio loses possession - hardly ever; how he creates chances and makes things happen. They are both exciting players, but right now Sergio is the better footballer.

Think ederson's long kicks will be used a lot for this one to miss out their pressing game.

Just pray we are awake from the off and avoid conceding in the first 25.

Hopefully we can control the tempo.

We have been poor against teams that press us for a few years now.

Time has come to learn how to counter this tactic.

This is a joke right? Pelegrini was why Aguero's press was often none existent? And for the record, Aguero did often come out of the box, but his overall play when he did was often disinterested. Lazy passes, and sluggish touches were often common.

But once he got near the box he perked up. In fairness, part of it was that once he got near the box, he could go it alone or use others if need be. But his, not Pelegrini's, was to go it alone once he got near the box.

He has ago much burst and balance that he won more often than not.

As for listening to hype, are you serious? Yes Aguero created a lot the last game, but historically he had always been a heads down go it alone often type striker. Jesus is far better at interplay and creating for others... This point is not even worth arguing.

I agree, Jesus' movement and interplay won't show up on the stat boards that often as he'll drop deep, play a one two and create space in behind for a winger or second striker to move into. Jesus is far more sacrificial than Aguero. Jesus is only 20 as well, his footballing intelligence is superb, I think it is ahead of Aguero's as Aguero's instinct is to always dribble, he's never really needed to think of the next phase of play as he is there to finish it all.

Liverpool will come at us all guns blazing and we will eviscerate them before throwing their humiliated corpse in the gutter of woe and failure, for the metaphorical Buzzards to pick at.
