Aguero is the fantastic finished article, and unlike previous seasons where Pellegrini had him strolling around the box, Sergio works his arse off in games now as well. He also retains possession superbly. He is in short, a better all round player than Jesus right now and for me, he must start.

He wanted Sergio to stay up front and to rely on playmakers to feed him the ball. As to being a better all round player, that's clearly debatable. I think he is a far superior finisher, but he is half the player Jesus is outside the box.

As to Jesus being better outside the box, you should stop listening to the hype and just watch the game. It's simply not true. Watch how many times Sergio loses possession - hardly ever; how he creates chances and makes things happen. They are both exciting players, but right now Sergio is the better footballer.

But once he got near the box he perked up. In fairness, part of it was that once he got near the box, he could go it alone or use others if need be. But his, not Pelegrini's, was to go it alone once he got near the box.
He has ago much burst and balance that he won more often than not.
As for listening to hype, are you serious? Yes Aguero created a lot the last game, but historically he had always been a heads down go it alone often type striker. Jesus is far better at interplay and creating for others... This point is not even worth arguing.
